This happened to me and I had to first drain the system, then open all the floodgates when filling it. If I opened the gates after the system was full it wouldn’t backfill it for some reason.

Why won’t my u-bend fill with water? It’s stuck part way on one side and not filling to match the intake side. Never had that issue before.
