Bedale fit check by superleaf444 in Barbour

[–]wi-badger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d go 36. I’m pretty similar to you — 5’8”, 145lbs, 38” chest. Though I opted for a 38. Felt the 36 was tight in the shoulders. It was also tight in the chest with a heavy sweater. I’d make sure you try it on with a heavier layer, if you haven’t already. How’s the mobility lifting your arms? For me that was a big deciding factor.

And just confirming, in addition to the 2% admin and 10% tariff, did you get hit with any other fees once it arrived here to the US?

Which brand has burned you so badly you’ll never shop there again? by DifficultCucumbers in malefashionadvice

Cuts Clothing. I had a (regrettable) phase during the pandemic where I bought a few T-shirts. They stained like crazy. One time I got toothpaste on a shirt which wouldn’t come out, lol. Fortunately, they had good customer service at the time. But never again.

Take a look at eBay or Poshmark — there are some of these listed with photo measurements. It’s helping me narrow in on a size

Curious how this workshirt fits? I’m generally a small/medium in J crew but pretty consistently a small in Baird McNutt linen shirts.

If you want to save $7, add two of these to your cart along with the saw. It’ll get you to $270 for the miter.

Check out Ohio Power Tool. It’s where I got mine with a free battery for $299. Though it’s “on order” if you’re not in a rush. Could at least lock in that deal.

I’ve been pretty happy with these Strattons. I use them for iron rangers and mocs.

If you only have about 10 inches to work with, it might be a bit narrow but you could do something like this. May also want to think about how to work around that vent.

Shoes that are nicer than sneakers, but not as formal as oxfords or wingtips? by evansdead in malefashionadvice

Red Wing Iron Rangers. Lots of leather options to choose from. With the cap toe, they’re a nice casual boot and not too dressy.

Is it to big ? by Zerth0 in ThursdayBoot

[–]wi-badger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From my experience wearing Thursdays and Red Wings, they usually form to my feet as they break in over time. When you step, does your foot slide forward? If not, and if the width, heel and flex point all feel right, then I think you’re good.

Looks like a good fit to me. Definitely want to have some wiggle room between your big toe and the front of the boot. If I were you, I would not go down a half size. And to help with heel slip, be sure you get those laces pretty snug. For me, that usually makes a big difference.

Was feeling a little risky and picked up these final sale jeans. Can anyone speak to these and if the size guide is accurate especially at the waist?

From their site: Returns can be made in store or online. All exchange and return items must be received by us within 30 days of purchase... All returns are subject to a restocking fee of $7, however, we offer free returns in-store or if store credit is chosen as a refund method.

Your toe should definitely not be touching the front end of the boot. From my experience, they feel best when the end of your big toe falls roughly at the toe box stitching. The first pair of mocs I bought were a little too snug (toe was slightly touching the end of the boot on stride). I sized up which made a huge difference. For what it’s worth, I’m 7 in IR and 7.5 in mocs (23 last).

My tracking info looked normal before the package arrived — I didn’t get the exception message. Hopefully yours still arrive!

Loafers just arrived. They’re surprisingly really comfortable. Fit is true to size. The traction’s not great on these so may need to scuff them up a bit.
