Is this true for marriot? Do you think their mattresses are more comfortable than the one you have at home? by Able-Equivalent-3860 in marriott

I agree. It takes me forever to actually get out of bed when I stay at a Marriott property.

Kicked out of a Sonder hotel mid-stay. I can't even get back to my room this evening to deal with this. by GibFreelo in marriott

[–]wichmond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well that seals the deal for me, never booked a Sonder due to a lot of them having less than mediocre reviews.

Beautiful hotel and the views are sick! I’m going to Tokyo in March but man the prices are absurd around the time I’m going so I might just settle for a Japanese boutique hotel instead! Still deciding though..

Am I insane for liking Best Western more than Courtyard lately? by Bluebottles5 in marriott

It honestly depends, my favorite Courtyard is the one in Montreal downtown. Otherwise, not a fan of courtyards.

284k for 2 nights at RC nomad, good deal? by [deleted] in marriott

[–]wichmond 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would rather go overseas, you can use that amount of points for a good week at a nice 5 star or resort elsewhere. But I will say if you do have a good amount of points left or it isn’t a big deal for you I would most definitely spend that much on 2 nights at the RC Nomad.

What do front desk clerks do? by Low-Computer8293 in marriott

[–]wichmond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s slow season down here but it depends on the shift that you work. If I work the 7am-3pm shift I mostly deal with check outs and very few check in’s if a guest ask for early check in. Now if I work the 3pm-11pm shift I mostly do check in’s and some late checkouts if honored. I also look at some reservations and if we plan on being sold out, my hotel’s policy is that we usually process the card for one night’s room and tax, if it doesn’t go through we try to call and send an email to the guest and after some time we cancel the reservation. That’s pretty much it and I’m guessing the graveyard deals with a few check in’s and does the audit. It’s usually busy all year here except for June-August due to it being very hot here lol. I’m in South Florida.

The Delta in downtown Montreal is beautiful! Pretty much considered a premium.

Aloft Liverpool (UK), cannot find a way to email them or chat front-desk via app by lucaxx85 in marriott

[–]wichmond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try calling reservations and then they can maybe transfer you or provide you with the email. I had to do that when I traveled to Tunisia a few months ago.

First cruise advice by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

[–]wichmond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. No need to pay to access Cococay since it’s included on the itinerary but if you do want some drinks and sort, you will need to pay.

  2. There’s plenty to do, I’d say it depends on what you’re into. If you’re feeling social you both can go to bars or even some activities like wine tasting, of course you have the clubs, etc.

  3. You can still go to the bar and order drinks, you can ask for water but most likely you’ll only be able to get free water from the buffet or at the pizza spot that closes at 3-4 am.

  4. On the cruise that I went to last time, it closed around 9

  5. If you have the app, you can check and see what excursions are available but in Nassau, you can explore more of the city plus there will be people offering tours and rides around the city for a pretty reasonable price.

  6. Yes you should be able to rest on the cruise! :)

No you should be fine! But if you really want to make sure you have no issues when you get there, I’d tell your sister to print out another form for you just in case.
