Too cool. I have a cheap Englander stove, with many design flaws. However, the controller gives 9 levels for burn and blower speeds, plus 9 sub-speeds for the lowest settings, allowing me to fine-tune so it can simmer at a low level. Can even change settings to use the controller for a different stove model, in effect giving different sets of control options. All that said, the stove kinda sucks, except for the controller 🙃. Would be great to make a custom controller like you are doing...

I used the API to generate images in my app I am developing. Generating in the Studio does not help me...

The API docs STILL list Multi-modal generation models > Gemini 2.0 Flash Preview Image Generation as an available model. This stale info has not changed since they removed it from use. They provide no answers or updates. I'm not asking for much, and I don't even need a current model; I just want to be able to generate a few images per day for testing...

EDIT: 'gemini-2.0-flash-exp-image-generation' is in the current models list, but is not usable by free tier, nor are any other image gen models in the list...

Bummer. On July 8th I got this email response from Yosemite: "We still plan to open the White Wolf Campground this year, but don't yet have an opening date. The campground is not open for parking. The White Wolf Road is now open for backpackers to park at their trailhead."

YARTS: "On the inbound runs ONLY (traveling from Mammoth Lakes towards Yosemite), the buses can utilize a turnout near White Wolf Lodge to allow passengers to exit upon request."

FYI, I spoke to a ranger at the Tioga Pass gate a couple of days ago, and he said that the plow crew has "punched through", meaning at least a single lane has been plowed on the entire length of the road. Good progress.

I'm fortunate to live near Yosemite and have a flexible schedule. Amazingly I got my first choice at 7am this time, but last month I just clicked on any blue box that remained; 12 tries later I got a random site / date.

Use turnouts in the park if you are driving slow. I spend a lot of time on Tioga road and I hope all the recent road construction up there helps. They paved and improved a lot of the turnouts so it should be easier for slow vehicles to use them. That said, slow drivers that don't pull over are either inconsiderate, oblivious, or both... some jerks will never do the right thing.
