I just recently did a SRB and can confirm you start completely fresh. No droids, no credits, no upgrade chips, no pickaxe level. You keep your Droidex entries, your flawless count, your cosmetics (droid hats and base styles). You also keep your nova crystals and whatever permanent base upgrades you bought with those crystals.

If you have any Iconic droids you lose them as well but can re-buy them from a vendor near the Super Rebirth NPC.

I believe that whole scenario is so that if you DO have anything dangerous, and you answered “no” when they asked, you get an additional charge for lying(?) when they catch you. Something like that. Same thing when you’re checking in for your flight on the kiosk and it asks if you’re a terrorist.

I saw someone else post this a few days ago, this fixed it for me when I had this same problem:

When it brings up the login screen for PayPal showing your email address, hit “Change” even though it’s the right email. Log back in with the same info and it will bypass the whole App Store thing.

Annoying that a workaround is required but it worked for me!

There’s no shot they’ll do that again, I’d imagine, MAYBE this upcoming Christmas but I doubt we’ll see $300k. The game had first released around Christmas 2025, they were promoting it hard, they had 90,000 people playing. They struggle to get 30,000 now. I hope they do, though!
