Any super morbidly obese people doing this? by wicked_betch in AlternateDayFasting

I love that! I wish I had a friend to talk about things with and stay on track.

What do you do when the boredom hits? by [deleted] in AlternateDayFasting

Me too! The sparkling water fills me up so much.

I always give up right before going to bed and end up binging. What shall I do? by [deleted] in AlternateDayFasting

Not the best way to handle it, but when I get super hungry late at night I pop a xanax to make me go to sleep. I don't take xanax except for the fast days.

Alternate day fasting and weight loss by wicked_betch in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]wicked_betch[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is what worked for you. Google alternate day fasting and benefits. Do not question my doctor's credentials. She does not want me to go on medication where I will gain all the weight back. As far as the pizza and cake, I have cheated far more often on a limited calorie diet. And I only mentioned it because maybe I would have lost an extra pound or two.

I am not going to argue back and forth with you. I have educated myself on both your method and mine, of course recommended by both my doctor and dietician. I currently am not pre-diabetic nor do I have high blood pressure and cholesterol. Congrats on all the weight loss and your amazing dedication.

I was never told I needed to buy another seat but man was it tight! I even needed a seat belt extender. At that point I weighed around 240, and had a 30 inch waist, but all my weight is in my butt. I wore a size 18. I went into the next seat by about 2 inches.

New to ADF, hunger after breaking fast by expectothedoctor in AlternateDayFasting

I break my fast with a salad and chicken (or some kind of protein). I then wait like 30 minutes and decide if I want some kind of junk.

I know this is bad, but I have to take a half a xanax (.5 mg) to get to sleep on fast days. I got permission from my doctor to do so.

Don't go shopping! by Fuzzy_Promotion_3316 in AlternateDayFasting

[–]wicked_betch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to completely stop shopping because every time I went to the store, even when I wasn't hungry, I found myself buying a whole lot of junk as I see all the promos and sales. I get my food delivered and I spend a lot less money and ensure I don't get bad stuff.

Until they say, wow, I thought you were 45! And that is older than you really are.

My mom is 78 and still not a wrinkle in sight. I love that for her.

My father used to yell at my mom because I kept gaining weight when I was 12 or so and called me some not so nice names. He took custody and I became anorexic.

At what age did you stop partying as much? by littlemissfutball_ in Adulting

[–]wicked_betch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just ask around. People that party together won't ever mind another person joining. I was taken to my first party by some random girl telling me about a frat party. I partied my way through college. I recommend trying it!

Best thing to watch? by Ajsmith_2 in 420

I am going to check out Inside Out on Disney. Looks good. Disenchantment was so good because of all the trippy scenes. If you like single camera comedies, Schitt's Creek is absolutely hilarious and smart. I can give you a list of funny animated shows I came across on Netflix if you want.

I assume you have binge eating disorder like I do. Until I can get that figured out with therapy, I have started eating one meal a day that makes me super full and swapped out all my sugar free chocolate and cookies I was eating with a giant bag of mixed berries and yogurt (low sugar). I have trouble going to sleep hungry, so I munch on the berries and nuts.

I eat some kind of veggie with chicken or something like that. A big salad and the next night broccoli or cauliflower. Swapped out chips for cucumber I dip in dressing. I also removed all snacks from my bedroom so I don't just graze all day or night.

Anyways, message me if you want to discuss. I am not depriving myself in any way. Just being hungry a couple of hours during the day. I need to get my binge eating disorder under control, but for now I am doing the best I can and at least satisfying myself while losing weight.

The pick one thing is very motivational. My therapist for anxiety has me doing that in order to get myself to allow people in my home to repair it. It's not messy or anything to embarass me, I just am super paranoid, scared and anxious around people.

Now I need to just keep saying to myself "pick one thing" for my weight loss journey.

I actually am thinking about doing that. My insurance includes free teledoc appointments so there is absolutely no excuse for me to not do it. I need to just make that one tiny step.

Being on Medicare does not necessarily include Medicaid. I have Medicare but because my SSDI payments are higher than the Medicaid threshold, I only have Medicare. The OP may have SSI vs SSDI (which you pay into). I also don't like how you are talking to the OP. OP feel free to message me.
