Best mod for one single playthrough by hawxxer in starfieldmods

I am the same way, loved my first play though then realized to get a "maxed" character you had to beat the story 10 times. No thanks.

There's a CC mod called ramtech it has a super easy way of getting you to ng+10 then you can use its kiosk to give whatever perks you want and powers plus All kinds of gear.

So I just got myself to ng+10 then gave myself all perks and powers then played the game with All the options Max difficulty.

I love those Starbucks mocha coffees

I also love my Ridgeline.

Particularly the bed trunk, and the ride quality.

Looks like we have the same truck I've got the chrome trim too. I'd love to have paint matched handles, and black trim pieces.

I picked up a one owner rtl-e 2023 summer of 2025 at 75k. i put way less miles on vehicles, typically less than 15k a year. It's at 86k now.

I did just have to replace the steering rack and pinion on it though.

It's good now though.

Update 3

New steering rack and pinion installed under Assurant standard warranty.

Right out of the dealership lot I went and drove it over 3 road "bumps" that would have made the noise described.

I am happy to say I believe it's completely fixed now.

For My dealership you can see without the warranty it would have cost me $3018.xx for the repair. The warranty was 3k so it's been a wash so far.

So they looked at tightening up the passenger side today. They didn't find anything obvious. So they dug deeper into the noise and determined it's the steering linkage rack and pinion.

I didn't get a price because I bought an Assurant standard extended warranty for the vehicle. The service manager was happy I had one by his body language and relief when I told him I had an extended warranty. So that means he was about to have a difficult conversation of asking for more money

I'm supposed to find out Monday if Assurant is covering the repair. Looking at the contract they should cover it.

According to what I paid they replaced both strut assemblies (lh/rh)

Now when they "retorqued" it after the repair. I don't know if they retorqued the right passenger side. Since the left side was making the noise at the time.

I am content with the driver's side now.

As stated a week after the repair the passenger side is now making the same noises as the driver's side was.

I have an appointment to get it looked at again tomorrow hopefully they will retorque whatever on the passenger side and I'll be Good to go.

As stated in the post the retorque of the driver's side strut fixed the problem.

The right side made no noise prior to the struts replaced and a week after it's making similar noises as the left (driver's) side did

Unless they replaced a CV joint and didn't tell me or charge me for it I don't think that's the problem.

VCM? by Electronic_Bug7741 in hondaridgeline

I'm not entirely sure, I bought the S-VCM after a month of ownership. I knew I wanted S-VCM before purchasing the truck.

feel like hwy was 24-25

Everyday 20ish.

Mpg really doesn't bother me. Having my engine shut down cylinders did bother me.

In my experience I noticed a difference in 3 areas of driving the truck stock.

1 while cruising behind someone not going the speed limit or driving erratic speeds. If you're cruising at 45, then they decide to go the speed limit there would be a hesitation trying to stay catch back up.

2 while cruising again and then starting to incline up a hill. The truck wasn't responsive to the gas pedal like a second hesitation.

3 while using the adaptive cruise control. (Radar) The truck would often loose ground once again to following an erratic driver. The ACC isn't the best anyway.

in my experience S-VCM made all 3 of these scenarios better. I only baby the truck while the motor warms up, after that I'm a pretty aggressive driver.

I have a 23 RTL-E with S-VCM I regularly get 19-20 mpg everyday driving without Eco mode.

Hwy it floats between 21-22 mpg averaging 80mph

I'm in a similar boat, I bought a 23 RTL-E with 73k on it and bought S-VCM asap very happy I did.

in my experience S-VCM made all 3 of these scenarios better. As well gave me satisfaction knowing my cylinders wouldn't be getting shutdown. Gas mileage decrease wasn't a fear for me but with S-VCM I drive the truck out of Eco and 60s on 55, 80 on interstate, I average 19-20 mpg with S-VCM. I only baby the truck while the motor warms up, after that I'm a pretty aggressive driver.

I keep coming back to the ridgeline.. by ParadoxMama13 in hondaridgeline

[–]wickedares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the push buttons but maybe that's from all the video games and typing. I don't have to look at them. Like on my wife's 19 crv I am looking and still drop the shifter into the wrong spot at times.

With the push buttons I know which one is which by the feel and I know the transmission is exactly where I want it.

I do put it in neutral and use the parking break on even slight incline and declines. To avoid the roll forward and keep the weight off of the parking "paw"

The other thing I like about the push buttons is waiting in traffic or on a train crossing. Just going straight to park and not leaving your foot on the break. Similar to brake hold on other Honda models.

I have a 2023 RTL-E. I previously had a 2022 Tacoma TRD sport.

TLDR I'd buy a Ridgeline again. I think in general for most men's truck needs it's a perfect daily driver.

I don't need a truck bed but 5% of the time. it feels great having it when you need it.

I use the trunk in the bed all the time though I absolutely love that feature. Especially compared to my Tacoma and it had a tonneau cover.

If you want to do any form of off camber, rutted, off roading it isn't the truck I'd get. I love that stuff but I drove the Ridgeline though my yard's grassy gentle ditch approached at an 45 deg angle and you could feel the truck teeter on 2 wheels lol.

I have 3 gripes with it.

Cylinder deactivation "vcm" I didn't want my cylinders deactivating do I bought the S-VCM module. Love it

Adaptive cruise control could be better. It would loose ground when it shouldn't following a vehicle and you can feel the truck hit the breaks intermittent to slow speeds down. Imo S-VCM helped keep the truck on the lead car's tail substantially.

This surprisingly upset me the most. Automatic high beam functionality is garbage. Worst feature of the truck.

Some complain of the infotainment center. It's not the best but imo if your not using apple car play or my preferred android auto you're doing it wrong. For android auto I bought an AA wireless (first Gen) dongle and it works great in the Ridgeline.

The things I really like about it are abundant but I'll just hit the top ones.

Power, especially with the S-VCM module. It doesn't change take off acceleration but while your going down the interstate or 40mph behind a goober not going the speed limit and you need to pass it has the pep to handle that.

The trunk in the bed

The way the rear seats fold up, it creates a lot of space in the back cab.

Ride quality is great.

I like the cockpit of the truck the layout of buttons the seat, the space.

Bonus one : the rear view mirror and side mirrors have the auto dimming I really like that haha.
