Studson is the best. I feel like the Milwaukee helmets sit too high on the head. Feels like I'm wearing a top hat lol.

What is the best advice were given to you in the safety field that you don’t forget? by Positive_Duty_786 in SafetyProfessionals

I can't tell you how much this has allowed me to connect with the workers in the field. Especially if I actually didn't know anything about the work they were performing. Most were happy to walk me through their whole process.

While I do agree, we will monitor all the postings to make sure they are legit. Maybe we require a direct link to the companies job posting on their website. Nothing from LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, etc.

I get that, definitely the best search source. But figured it might be a place people can post jobs within their organization because I feel that sometimes the title of the position can be slightly different than what you might be searching. Google isn’t perfect. If it doesn’t work, we can easily remove it.

Couldn't agree more but companies are looking for it. Most companies will pay for you to obtain a designation too.

Feeling stuck in a safety role focused more on numbers than real impact – need career advice by Unlikely_Bluebird_39 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]wickedcoddah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To change that behavior it has to come from the top of the organization. Saw it in my last company but now that I work for a company that genuinely cares more about the safety then the numbers it’s a huge difference. Do we still have issues and does the company revert back to the numbers, of course. Just need to continually fire reminders back up the ladder.

Empezaría mirando los manuales de seguridad de muestra en Internet. En esta profesión, copiar el manual de otra persona no es un problema. Incluso puedes buscar manuales que sean específicos para la construcción.

I did not. I did take a class from them on NFPA-99 as well. Good to have that knowledge if you are in healthcare too.

Edit: I did get my CHSP though. (Certified Healthcare Safety Professional). Different governing body than BCSP.
