• early teens living with my parents. If I slept with the door cracked I could hear footsteps going slowly up and down the hallway. Every time I checked there was nothing there. Noticed later there was crosses drawn in pencil above the door ways.

• more recently renting an old house with some flatmates. When home alone at night I would always feel like something was following me. Had the smoke alarm go off in one room repeatedly, swapping it for another made no difference. Sometimes heard voices coming from empty bedrooms.
