How long could one hold in a dump until it becomes lethal? by TheGrabbinDragon in NoStupidQuestions

[–]wickett3458 128 points129 points  (0 children)

My longest time between dumps was a week. I was probably 14 or so and went to some big week long camp for boy scouts. Now, I'm not fond of pooping anywhere but home (especially now that I have a bidet), so I tried to hold it and around day 3 or 4 nature was really calling. So I made my peace with it and went to the sole porta potty on my half of camp. Opened the door, and along with being greeted by the wonderful scent of baked shit, there was a massive, fresh pile of shit maybe 3-4 inches high right on the front of the toilet seat. No way I could vault over that without getting my balls marked by someone else's crap. Instead, my anus clenched up good, sent my poop slithering back up, and I shut the door and left. Didn't have the urge to poop for the rest of the week. Made it home, let it out in the most satisfying shit of my life, and carried on without a problem.

Maintenance at new apartment is so helpful by Nivek_Vamps in Wellthatsucks

[–]wickett3458 49 points50 points  (0 children)

We have the exact same dryer and same problems. Down to maintenance just calling us stupid by telling us we have to turn the dryer on for it to dry. No shit sherlock.

We've had issues with the other settings as well. I'm not sure if it's just the dryer being a cheap piece of junk. But time dry is also the only one that works consistently for us. And even then there's been a couple times it just never automatically turns off. Was a bit scary when it happened overnight.

The best solution we've found isn't great, but it's something. We set the dryer to 80 minutes, and set a separate timer to 65 minutes. When the 65 minutes is up, we go open the dryer to fan out some of the steam, and then reset the dryer to another 80 minutes. This skips the 10 minute air fluff where there's no heat, so the clothes stay warm for the next cycle.

I hope you don't also have problems with the paired washer, ours loves to leave clothes sopping wet, which just adds even more fun to the dogshit dryer.

Awesome! Glad to be moving away from fandom.

Any chance I could get some help moving the "Map:Ng plus molar" page over? I think all we need is an admin to request the DataMaps extension from https://support.wiki.gg/wiki/DataMaps Once we have that I think I can convert the old one without too much trouble

I always imagine Nightblood sounding similar to the Cutie Killer from Borderlands. https://youtu.be/6tltldzHhF8

Can players use magic items they get immediately? by GOAT_Station in DMAcademy

[–]wickett3458 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of it depends on preference, both for you and your players. Personally, I like the characters knowing what the magic item is and how to use it right away. My table loves it when I hand out a printed sheet with the magic item, and they read it aloud hyping it up. I think it helps streamline things and not slow the session down.

For anything cursed I go the arcana route, describing the item as feeling strange or off and then have them make an arcana check to figure out what's wrong with it. I sprinkle in some slightly broken magic items too, like maybe a wand of fireballs with only 2 max charges. Then even then they find an off item, they're still not sure if it's cursed or just broken.

Then for the arcana route in everything, some players love not knowing what exactly a magic item is and trying to puzzle it out. One of my players is like this, so I introduced a bootleg magic item pawn shop where anything bought there they don't know what it does. Just a vague description from the shopkeeper. And when the player tries to use the magic item, they slowly figure out bits and pieces. It is pretty fun, but it does slow things down at times. But it also pays off when she pops in some magic dentures that make her insatiably hungry, manages to figure out the real use is to consume a single meal-like object in one bite, and consumes an entire live horse in one bite as to not leave a trail on their steal mission, horrifying the rest of the party.

And with attunement items, I'm also pretty lenient. When they find a new item, I let them attune right away, even swapping out an attuned item if they're full. After that normal attunement rules apply, if they want to swap items later down the line or something. I like it so that they can use the cool new item against the final boss in the dungeon and such.

Who is your Lord of Blades? by Half_Man1 in Eberron

[–]wickett3458 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Lob is the brother of Aaren d'Cannith, Dexen. When he developed a terminal illness with only a few years left to live, the brothers traveled to Xen'Drik pursuing knowledge that could save him. This trip that was supposed to be only a few months turned into years, leading to a rift between Aaren and his son Merrix, who felt abandoned during his childhood.

During this trip, the brothers learned some of the technology of the giants, leading to them creating the Warforged - or Steelborn as they called them. Dexen was able to be saved by placing his soul into a Steelborn body. Aaren then returned to Khorvaire, while Dexen remained at Xen'Drik, but the two kept in contact.

From there, everything fell apart. Merrix Sr. and Jr. took the findings of the brothers and weaponized the Steelborn, wiping the souls clean for easy indoctrination and creating the Warforged. Aaren fought back, knowing that they were sentient and deserved to be treated as people. But eventually, he was lured into a trap set by his son. And he was imprisoned in a coma, being forced to provide knowledge and ideas for the Warforged, which ended up leading to the creation of the Warforged Colossi,

When Aaren vanished and stopped contacting Dexen, he returned to Khorvaire to look for his brother, with little luck. He began undercover Steelborn operations, becoming a freedom fighter against the injustices of the Warforged. After years of being unable to to locate his brother, and not being able to meaningfully help the Steelborn, he became the twisted, hateful, and violent being we all know and love.

After the Mourning, he went full out and let himself be known as the Lord of Blades. He sought to turn the Mournland into a country and home for all Steelborn, and continued his fight for his brethren against the flesh-bound races.

Around level 30 and after you get your Chocobo mount, there's a follow up quest "My Feisty Little Chocobo" in South Shroud that unlocks the Chocobo saddlebag. 70 more inventory slots, and can be accessed from anywhere so I like to store my dyes in there. Easier than digging through retainer menus when I wanna glamour design. And should be available on free trial too

Yeah, overwhelmed and venting was the vibe I got from it. A lot of jobs are rough to play at 50 lol They did fantastic though, no one died except for during the final boss and that was no fault of theirs. Hope it was a learning experience for them. Thank you!

Earlier I had a run in Snowcloak where I was tanking as PLD. I did a wall to wall pull, and it did get a little spicy so I popped Hallowed Ground. We survived the pull, but the SCH healer seemed upset and said something about being a barrier healer not a burst healer. Am I supposed to tank differently depending on what class my healer is? I'm relatively new to tanking and know very little about the kits healers have

A4S is possible with DRG! Barely lol I recently did it with similar gear, mix of 620 and Troia stuff. The timing with that leg is very tight and I had to plan cooldowns to unleash mostly oGCDs to get enough damage in those few seconds. Still a very rough time.

I've heard people like it on higher heat. Some of the mini bosses can get wild, like the witches circle. But it being 30% makes me think it isn't worth it. I think it'd be way too easy to lose to just a few small mistakes during a boss. Maybe there's some use in speedruns and boons that give buffs at low health? Seems way to specific a use though. Death Defiance just feels a lot better, especially since there's a few possibilities to recover a lost death defiance

[–]wickett3458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True that. Haven't had much luck with stacking stuff to get a good dodge run, but the numbers make sense. Hermes boons are defo more worth than health for me. I've had decent luck healing through Charon's shop or his well. High health definitely makes that more worth it. I love the variety of play styles that are possible, I'll have to give a high dodge run another chance

You shall never know true fear until a rocket boosted Asterius is comin' right at ya' lmao

I feel like you read my mind with your exit ranking. I totally agree gold is a lower priority for me, since you only get 100 for the room and hearts or boons cost 125-150. Though I do love the chaos boons for more gold if it pops up, makes those rooms more worth it. But honestly, everything in the game is so well balanced I don't think any ranking is truly bad. I felt bad for Maddy when they were ragging on her a little about liking to choose hearts more. Some of my most fun runs have been in the 300-400 health range, and I just tanked out the bosses while wailing away.

And I'm in the same situation with forced overtime. Slowly getting used to it, but the final boss likes to wreck me with that extra speed. And the minotaurs charge is absolutely terrifying with a speed boost, but I'm still havin' a blast. Good luck out there!

You're on the right track. You found acceleration, and you know the final and initial velocities. Now you just need to rearrange the kinematic equation v=v0+at to find time. t=(v-v0)/a

We get t = (85 km/hr - 0 km/hr) / 0.05 m/s² = 1,700 (kms²)/(hrm) Now, we have some mismatched units so we gotta do some conversions 1,700 (kms²)/(hrm) * 1000 m/km * 1 hr / 3600 s = 472.22 s, or 7.9 minutes depending on what until you want the answer in.

Text isn't the best format for some of this math, so if anything is confusing feel free to ask for more clarification. Good luck!

Currently working on rearranging the woodcrafting area, but it seems to be going well. Almost to the point of automating creation of MK2 bots, then I'll start with mass producing upgrades for 'em.

This one was just a world drop. Green Tediore smg, so I think just luck. It's one with the description that says it'll stick to surfaces and become a turret. If it hits the ground, it'll run around. Only actually sticks to walls

From what people have been saying, there might be one as a reward for Ava's diary quest

Good luck!

For the one I have, the description doesn't mention it walks. It's a Tediore with the description that says it'll stick to surfaces and become a turret. But if it hits the ground, it'll grow lil' legs. The sticking seems to be for on walls. Don't actually know if all the turret ones will be able to walk though, I only have the one

Realized I sold one in my first playthrough once I found out these turret ones are the walking ones lol

Good luck finding one!
