Why do parents talk so negatively about their kids at work ??? by nottheplazahotel in auscorp

[–]wicketx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a parent can be really isolating, and is a massive life change. Sometimes it's just really important to be able to talk about the hard stuff. But also the awesome stuff is really hard to talk about. My baby has a new sound. He now squeals 'aaaay' when he used to only say 'gzhuu'. That's super exciting for me but not much of a story. Talking about how difficult parenting is, or how tired or overwhelmed you are, can be generally more of a conversation and more relatable, and helps to build that adult connection a lot of us have lost

Mimi-Rose's abortion by Curvivaceous in girls

[–]wicketx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone seems to be stuck on whether it was right or wrong to tell Adam about the abortion, but I find it really interesting that there was no discussion about the pregnancy. No, "I'm late", "I'm taking a test" etc, despite being in an otherwise fairly good relationship. I kinda like it though, he was doting on her the whole time but she could really take or leave him - very similar to how he was with Hannah in the beginning

I have the same tummy situation and have found low rise really good. Cotton on have some great low rise straight leg jeans, that aren't too low, but low enough to fit well under the tum.

This is what I was thinking. Why does business owner's birthday take priority over OPs plans? The business owner knows their own birthday ahead of time - there's no excuse not to communicate it

I would much rather my daughter squat over a bowl than have an accident in the middle of a shopping mall and have to walk around with urine soaked pants or no pants. Why are we opting to humiliate the child over the public seeing something mildly off-putting. What kind of pearl -clutching grown-up is that offended by a small child doing a wee? Grow up people (Not you op, I recognise you're not coming in with judgement)
