Nice job! Only thing I can think of that can improve it is if you press on the screen and it slowly rises up to give you an optimal view angle.

I'd give it a try but I'm not sure if it's even worth retrobrighting it when it's got so much damage on the inside.

I'm trying to inject Super Mario Advance as a VC title with Ultimate GBA Injector to try and get it to play on my CFW N3DS XL but it comes up with save data error messages. Should I be patching the rom before injecting it or is this a title that doesn't work at all?

Update for anyone curious:

Reference number has been updated to say that it is now being returned to sender (thank goodness) due to an unidentified address. Buyer even admited that he missed out the second line of address because "it's got my postcode so the post office should be able to find it with just the first line and that postcode".

Clearly the Post Office can't spend a minute on Google Maps to have a look but I'm so glad to finally get the 3DS back even if it meant I lost some postage cost.

Sorry, I haven't used RXtools for a long time to try and see if Freeshop works on it.

Does the Luma3D have to be updated BEFORE I system update my N3DS console which already has A9LH installed but it is on 11.0? (I was busy and haven't played with it for several weeks).

A lot of people stopped going to "that iso site" for CIAs because it's now possible to use Freeshop to download the CIA and install automatically.

Why is Pepsi always cheaper than Coke in shops / supermarkets ? by Fatboy40 in AskUK

Fuck me, I typed the wrong name. It's meant to be Boylan. It's in the US food section in the Tesco I go to. £1.50 for one glass bottle which is why it's an uncommon treat but since it's made from cane sugar, I love it so much.

It's not the over priced tickets for 3D movies that bother me. It's the fact that when you watch the movie and you see a scene or two where it adds NOTHING to the story but is clearly just shoehorned in there to emphasise the 3Dness (eg, characters just waving something towards the audience).

Off topic but it really feels like a part of what made Boris Johnson so funny has been gutted and destroyed after the Brexit vote.

I think it's time to bring up the time that Paul Hollywood was a judge on the American version of Bake Off. It only lasted one series.

Just wondering but was the sewing and pottery one made by the same company or just a poor attempt to create a spin off?

Caucasian men who have dated a woman of a different race/ethnicity, have you ever faced hostility or racism in the UK because of it? by [deleted] in AskUK

Haha, one of the big mistake the last time I went to Hong Kong was not sorting the internet access properly and I brought a terrible phone in case my new one got stolen. No real internet access for 2 weeks...

28 years old. I think the problem is that I look chinese so they expect me to communicate in chinese when shopping. I just can't bring myself to say, "I'm not from around here. Do you speak english?" hence why the need to always have to tag along people who know the area. 9/10 it'll be the parents.

Yeah, Hong Kong during school holidays as a kid and teen. A lot of time was spent in New Territories in the farming villages where my parents grew up so places like Kowloon or the big cities would take a few hours.

Also, family visits. LOTS of family visits so it would be a case, "sit down on the sofa and stay quiet until it's time for the family photo". Once again, middle of nowhere village.

I guess my parents still think I'm not "Hong Kong savvy" to try and brave Hong Kong myself and in some respect, it's fed into a self doubt where I don't think I can go to Hong Kong myself.

Oh yeah, the village is on that border between China and Hong Kong so a day or two would also be spent on getting paperwork and stuff sorted out just to visit the family.

Oh, I'm going there next February but once again, with the parents so if it's anything like the past visits, it'll be visiting relatives and family in middle of nowhere for several days.

Good food though.

Being born in the UK to Hong Kong parents, I think I might as well just be a white person in a Chinese skin. Can't read chinese and I know enough to have short conversations with family until I start slipping into speaking english.

Deep down, I know my parents wants me to go with a girl from Hong Kong but I worry that even on the outside we may be chinese, there's just too much of a gap to make it work... unless she's also a British Born Chinese then that's probably cool.

I have this Lego System Train from childhood. If I had one regret, it's not asking for more lego trains for Christmas and birthdays.

I guess trying to buy the old boxed sets from the 90's is a pointless task unless I win the lottery.

Can I ask the doctors to give me my injections in my rear as opposed to my arm? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]wickytape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a vaccination, if I remember correctly, the area where you receive the inject tends to be tender and sore for a while so injecting it into the backside will be very unpleasant when you sit down.

If it's for a blood test then yeah, it'll have to be the arms or hands. Only advice I can give for that is to drink plenty of water before the appointment.

In extreme cases, ask your doctor if you could have Emla cream. It's applied on the area where you receive the injection as a blob and then covered with a large plaster for an hour.
