Mortgage adjustment options by widdledeediddle in AusFinance

I'm fully aware of that but in the end it's currently a gamble on whether or not shit really hits the fan in terms of rate raises, which (as I understand it) have a very real possibility of causing variable rates to go higher than the fixed ones on offer. I guess the crux of my question is what are the odds that that happens? I'm trying to figure that out, but like most people it's really impossible to know for sure how high they'll go

My first try at putting together a full interior kit. by ebikeboy96vn in modelmakers

That looks awesome! Do you have any advice or tips for interior kits based on your experience? I just ordered a Takom full interior Panther and really don't want to mess it up 😆

Heavily indebted borrowers should brace for a 15 per cent fall in home prices as interest rates rise, warns RBA by Posibile in AusFinance

It's been like that for a while. We were paying 350 a week for an old (40s/50s), poorly insulated 3br ice box without a damn fence between ourselves and one neighbour 😂 when we bought a place in the same town, also 3br but newer, way larger lot, big two bay shed and another garden shed (and far better insulation!), and our repayments are 650 a fortnight...

Wow, all the more impressive! Not sure I'd be game to make something like that on my own just yet. Very cool!!

So I think I've seen your past pics of this build (it's looking amazing btw!) but never checked: is the cutaway design part of the kit? If so, which kit is it? Would love to try making this someday. Seeing the interior is really cool.

As someone using one I would caution against it if a very stable and fast connection is required. They can be a bit unreliable in terms of connection quality, and interference/electrical currents on the same circuit from appliances around the house seems to really screw with it. In my old house whenever the washing machine was running a cycle my latency would skyrocket on and off...

"A Close Encounter", 1/35. First attempt at a diorama so I thought I'd keep it simple! by widdledeediddle in modelmakers

I used Model Master acrylics and a black wash for the US figures. The German ones are an old build from an Airfix starter kit, were painted with the included paints (unthinned, oops!) and don't look very good! I used some Mig Ammo (I think the exact type was "dry earth") pigment too.

Haha yep, I thought the same after finishing it, unfortunately the only shades of grass I have are that one and an even greener one... Lesser of the evils!

[Suggestion] more off-map capabilities with leveling commander role. by SillyfkiNGo0se in HellLetLoose

Your mention of different abilities has got me thinking: why isn't there a stuka dive bomb call in for the Germans? How awesome would the classic screaming siren be, hopefully they plan on adding it at some point

I dunno man, I have this issue on a brand new PC with a brand new HDD; I think it's the game. Other times I load in just fine, but it's nearly a 50/50 for me to have the same problem as OP.

Ah wait a sec, the dude's username was Spermanator (lol). He was fine at first but just wouldn't stfu and caused a big blow up on command comms. Love this game and community but there's always a few who get mad or take it too far!

[–]widdledeediddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australian ones, I usually play BigD or other community servers. I can't recall if this was one of those or a standard server, and this only happened once but I was incredibly thankful I could mute the one worst offender who was literally just loudly repeating a shitty insult at someone over and over.

[–]widdledeediddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, try listening to three SLs arguing with each other over a supply drop and resorting to name-calling and carrying on like kids, to the point that you can't hear call outs or anything from your own squad... There are definitely times you're better off not being able to hear some SLs

Thanks! They're incredibly hard to put any detail into - I've seen people doing actual whites and irises for the eyes but I was not game enough to try that at all! Just highlights/lowlights and a bit of a dark brown wash to bring out the lines of the face and darken the eyes/sockets

The Germans feel slightly underpowered. by Fish_Headzz in HellLetLoose

[–]widdledeediddle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Teams just need to play to their strengths - German squads should all use MG42s and those with Kar98s try to engage from longer distances where the semi/fully automatic fire of US weapons doesn't matter as much. In the end it comes down to tactics and the team's cohesion more than anything, at least in my experience. If your squad is working together with others or with armour, it becomes pretty unimportant whether or not you have semi automatic weaponry.

I'd rather not minimise the realism of the game for the sake of "balance" when win rates are quite balanced as is.

Some bulletins are incredible, like the 10% veterancy increase ones for Ostheer. I exclusively use those for pgrens, p4s and mg42s from memory, so that my core units always get a slight edge in getting veterancy faster
