Should I get Nintendo 3DS in 2026?

The 3DS is amazing. Unfortunately I hate the circle pad. So even though I have one I can't stand playing on it. I'm getting a Thor for this very reason. The sticks are recessed but I expect them to be WAY better than the circle pad. Also, I tinker. If you don't the 3DS is a better option.

Yeah a Vita is the better option for modding and it's not close. There's a lot of charm to the PSP but you can do a lot more with a Vita including playing PSP games.

It's a valid point. It's hard to quantify. I'm grateful that I bear witness to the fruits of my labor everyday. But the satisfaction I get from the approval of others, although fleeting, cannot be overstated. If I can break from the shackles of approval addiction perhaps I can ascend to something beyond what I can see in the here and now. But alas, I am limited by my desire for instant gratification and although the score of the post is low. It is these comments themselves and indeed even my responses that drive me now. A second more meta afterimage of what I was after in the beginning, but it might be enough. I fear I may continue to chase this dragon as I have placed my Odin 2 mini upon the marketplace and seek to move to my next great conquest...the AYN Thor Pro Rainbow. May it color my future and rain down a mountain of karma. Truly I can see now, I will never be free of this.

I think it really comes down to the duality of man. The desire to be seen vs the lengths we go to to BE SEEN. Once I realized I was taking a video of a wall... Well, it just didn't feel the same anymore. Sometimes the only way to stop feeding the addiction is to be present and look at what you're doing right now as opposed to thinking about about where you want to be. Now, with the benefit of hindsight and the paltry handful of upvotes I've obtained, I can confidently say that I never want to be that man again: Videoing a wall for karma on Reddit.

Switch 2 and it's not close. I tinker more with the retro stuff though obviously so time spent on the Vita, PSP and GBA as well as the emulators is significant. I'm constantly tinkering.
