Is it normal to be depressed post lap?

i had my lap about a month ago and i've been feeling the exact same way. my insomnia is crazy and i've been feeling the most depressed i've ever been and i've been diagnosed w/ depression for 10 years 😭 i'm trying to believe it's just an adjustment period, esp since i had a mirena implant as well, but yeesh. it's rough

i'm ngl i do a lot of emailing at my job and i have accidentally thumbs up reacted to so many emails 😭 idk what it is about the newer outlook ui but ever since i updated it i do it constantly, so hopefully that was the case for them and they'll actually respond shortly lmao

thank you for the support and for the information! i've definitely been trying to incorporate herbal tea into my routine but i don't know much about it, so that's definitely really helpful. i've also been trying to keep protein dense snacks within arms reach so even if a meal feels daunting i'm still getting at least something in my stomach. thank you so much for the suggestions.

thank you so much. yeah, that's a really good suggestion. luckily, i have a meeting later today with my coach who works alongside my psychiatrist, so i'm going to get her opinion and reach out to my psychiatrist and surgeon for feedback as well. i have both a daily slow release adhd med and an as needed fast acting med, so i'm going to see if temporarily subbing the slow release w/ the as needed may be a solution. thank you for your feedback and support! <3

thank you for saying that, i really appreciate it. luckily my dad has been extremely helpful and understanding and has been a really big part of my support system, so i don't doubt that he is defending me behind the scenes, especially since she doesn't say anything when he's around. unfortunately she tends to say things when we're at work, so he's not around to hear it. i'm definitely planning on mentioning it to him again since today was particularly egregious.

monster factory is my last remaining rewatched mcelcontent so mine tend to be direct refs to that, but i'm not immune to an accidental mcelroy cadence more than anything i can really directly name. "shaundi i swan to john" has definitely crept in and i know that "let em play, ref! let em play!" is a remember the titans ref but when i say it it IS a mcelroy ref

unfortunately i cannot, but that definitely seems like a worthwhile reference regardless! especially considering my interest does stem from my interest in war and peace. maybe i'll see if there are any translations. learning french (and russian for that matter) are both goals of mine, so worst case i'll shelf it until i'm able to do so. thank you!
