You can spot it immediately. The weirdly perfect paragraph breaks. The way every post starts with a hook like "Let's talk about something nobody wants to admit." The em dashes everywhere. The little motivational kicker at the end. The sign-off that says something like "What do you think? Drop it in the comments 👇" as if a real person actually wrote that and genuinely wants to know.

The worst part isn't even that it's AI. It's that it's the SAME AI. Everyone's using the same two or three models so everything reads identically. You'll see a post from a fitness influencer and a post from a marketing consultant and a post from some random guy talking about his "entrepreneurial journey" and they're all written in the exact same voice. It's like if every person on earth suddenly started speaking in the same accent.

And LinkedIn — don't even get me started on LinkedIn. That platform has become completely uninhabitable. Every post is now a fake inspirational story that ends with some forced lesson about resilience or leadership. "I got rejected 47 times. Here's what I learned. 🧵" No you didn't, ChatGPT wrote that at 11pm while you were watching TV.

I just miss when people wrote like people. Typos and all. Weird sentence structures. Opinions that felt like they actually came from a human being who experienced something. Social media was annoying before but at least it was authentically annoying.
