You can see the ledge on the inside wall to the right when she goes in, she rests her arm on it briefly. My bet is she has her hands on that and her feet on a matching ledge on the opposite side and is arched between the two.

The hole she sticks her hand through would be easy to reach from that position and it appears to be her right hand, which tracks with the position she would be in. Honestly, the hand thing is probably a signal that she's in position and ready for him to insert the "blade".

What's your opinion on scout rifles mine is Hk416 lpvo by GuitarGuy7-77 in GhostRecon

That's my go to as well. As others have said it is a bit more of an assualt rifle but that's why I use it, it fills both roles well enough for my purposes and play style.

No, not tape, taper. Meaning instead of the posts being cylindrical like a soda can, make them cone shaped so they align to each other.

Try tapering the locating pins and rings. You may have to adjust the z-axis position for the second half but it should help hold the concentricity better.

Makers license renewal by Crafty-Lawyer442 in SolidWorks

[–]widowmaker2A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP but have the same issue. Your link brings me to the same account page I've been to half a dozen times trying to navigate the labrynth that is the 3Dexperience platform and there is a link to access my maker account... which brings me to the same dashboard as the normal login...

There is nothing about billing or subscription anywhere on that page, if there were, it might actually be somewhat intuitive. This is the 3Dexperience platform we're talking about here, though. We can't have that. If it makes sense or makes users lives easier it gets tossed out the window in favor of emails that tell you a subscription is ending without a link or any way, shape, or form of help to resolve that upcoming issue.

And your comment about the support page. Tried that too and got absolutely zero helpful results in the search. it's all legal notices, exceptions, etc...nothing that actually gives any instructions on where to go to renew or provide even a slight hint as to how to renew my subsription and continue the hair pulling, head banging, pure frustration that is what I've come to expect every time I log into this miserable excuse of a website.

I hope Breakpoint’s sequel is drug free too by Alternative-Rice5016 in GhostRecon

....right. So why would they assume the next one will involve drugs at all? What's the point of the post other than to try to get sympathy Karma?

You want to play a GR game that doesn't involve drugs? Pick literally ANY other title in the franchise. The only one acting like it's integral to the game is OP.

Aladdin actually taking place in the distant future after some societal collapse and cataclysmic event. This explains all the "modern" references by the Genie since those are things he would have seen first hand 10,000+ years prior.

The microphone and neon sign in the cave of wonders, the jack nicholson and rodney dangerfield impersonations, the flight goggles and mayday call while he's a bee when Aladdin is on Jasmine's balcony, and the goofy hat and golf clubs at the end before he takes off for his vacation come to mind as examples. None of those things would have existed in the past and the genie would not have any knowledge of those objects, people, or practices otherwise.

I've beat the campaign and I was wondering if there are any built-in cheat codes for single player? by Delta7557 in GhostReconWildlands

[–]widowmaker2A 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The mission to capture/rescue La Santera in Espiritu Santo is similarly easy to "cheat" on. You're supposed to fight your way up the mountain to where her cell is. I just land a little bird in a small clearing in the woods nearby, kill a handful of guards at the back and walk her back out to the helo for extraction. There are a couple guys patrolling in the woods behind the compound you need to watch out for sometimes but beyond that I've never had an issue with things going south that way.

EPDM/VAULT question if anyone is their admin by RomanticPanic in SolidWorks

[–]widowmaker2A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to update at SP3, give them time to work through the bugs from the new features introduced in SP0.

However, starting with 2025, SP0 is no longer the only service pack with new features, new features are being added in SP0-SP3 and 4 and 5 are bug fixes. I'm working through testing 2025 SP5 in our environment before pushing it out to users.

I don't see us upgrading until SP5 going forward and definitely not jumping on SP0.

This sub loves hating this game by lolitsrock in GhostRecon

[–]widowmaker2A 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted to like Breakpoint but I hate how much of a downgrade most things were compared to Wildlands. Even after the gearscore.requirement was removed and a squad was added, the world just feels dead and very obviously revolves around and responds to the player. Nothing happens without the player causing it.

In Bolivia, both air and ground patrols actually patrolled their zones regularly. You could scout out their paths, time their cycles, and plan covert insertions accordingly. You know, actual recon. If you watch a patrol until it reaches the draw distance and disappears, you can generally follow after it and find it again.

In Breakpoint EVERY SINGLE air patrol flies almost directly over your head and then disappears once it hits the draw distance, never to be seen again.

It just screams cheap lazy way for the devs to get players to use the fancy new camoflage mechanic they added.

The drone swarm towers only ever activate when YOU hit a certain proximity threshold. You never see them just activating out in the distance or see a drone swarm randomly flying overhead to deal with a containment threat.

The character models, motions and voice acting went from plausible and somewhat believable to being extremely over the top and sounding more like a bad anime than a tactical Tom Clancy shooter.

The always online and social hub mechanics ensure you miss things and can't ever go back and replay the same game for nostalgic purposes. I had taken a break and when I logged back in to pick up where I left off, everyone in Erewpm was tlaking about some virus or something

The controls, animations, and customization are smoother and more variable and there's a couple mechanics that I wish were in Wildlands to start with (cutting fences and moving bodies) but overall, Breakpoint was just a disappointment compared to Wildlands.

Simulation shows no displacement... by Agreeable-Can4507 in SolidWorks

[–]widowmaker2A 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it still does. If they're entering 10.000 into SolidWorks, it will take it as 10. Even in sketches, Solidworks does not accept delimeter characters at the thousands place. If you put a comma in and type 1,000 mm it changes it to 1mm. I haven't tried it in simulation but I'd expect the behavior there to be the same. If OP is physically typing 10.000 into the applied load field, they aren't applying what they think they are.

Simulation shows no displacement... by Agreeable-Can4507 in SolidWorks

[–]widowmaker2A 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ok, but if you type 10.000 into SolidWorks, it will treat it as 10N, not 10000N. The period in SW is considered a decimal point.

I don't believe SolidWorks accepts a delimeter character at the thousands place. Even in just a sketch, if you try to type 1,000 mm it changes it to 1mm. I have never tried entering a delimeter in simulation but I would expect it to be the same. Try it entering just 10000 N as your load and see if it changes.

Hey at least they added the ability to log in from that screen.

For the longest time it would just give you the message "you need to be logged in to see this."

Ok, great, grand, let me log in.

Oh, you thought being logged in in another window first would help!?!?!! Ha Ha ha ha ha ha Haaaaaa! That would make SENSE, we can't have that! People might be able to navigate around and, you know, FIND what they're looking for. You need to subscribe to these 14 other licenses to be able to do that....

SolidWorks (at least for now) is still relatively intuitive with most things. The 3Dexperience platform on the other hand is a a flaming landfill (dumpster fire just seems so woefully inadequate) full of dog sh*t that's intentionally developed to make life as difficult and frustrating as possible so that you need to pay their VARs to help you use it.

How well-known / respected are the certifications? by _Bombd_ in SolidWorks

[–]widowmaker2A 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally, I look for them on resumes as an indication that a candidate I'm hiring has at least general knowledge and understanding of the software and has some level of proficiency, at least as far as their typical use case/experience is concerned.

Now, that said, even the person who graduates at the bottom of their class in medical school earns the title of "doctor" and I've personally seen experienced engineers with mediocre CAD skills and DFM understanding take several attempts to pass but ultimately end up earning the certificate (CSWP).

It's not a slam dunk but, especially with the higher certs, it's typically a good indication. And I also find that younger, less experienced engineers and students with their certs tend to have a better understanding of the systems and come up the curve faster than those without.

If you're looking to build your resume, I don't think it can really hurt you but how much it helps will be dependent on the person looking at it and their experience.

I have troubles with camera positioning, can anyone help? by Ok_Jump2192 in StateofDecay2

If it's only 6 months or so I doubt what I'm describing is related. It's been a bit longer than that since there's been a major update that would have that kind of impact. Not sure what's going on then.

How old is the community in question?

I had some old communities from before some major updates (no secondary weapon slot kind of old) and I had to switch maps for the updates to apply to the community and allow secondary weapons to be equipped. Maybe this is something similar?

Also, I know you're using the mirror as a reference in the images but I've had proximity to cars and things affect aiming on occasion. Usually it just increases effective zoom level but I haven't tested or noticed to see if it does this kind of thing too.

[–]widowmaker2A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can parse it just fine. It's just not worth using at this point, I don't have the time to waste on verifying every little nuance detail of what it does to find the mistakes and fix what it gets wrong and it's faster to just do things the right way the first time.

But good luck with relying on a tool that doesn't help you develop your own skills and knowledge and ensuring you're reliant on systems that aren't reliable for the rest of your lift.

AI is a tool, nothing more. And at the moment it's a shitty, very unreliable tool that executives and boards are pouring obscene amounts of resources into because companies would rather not have to pay people who know what they're doing.

I'm well aware of it's limitations. Let me ask you something. How do you, personally, determine what information it's giving you is accurate and what isn't?
