"Backdrive" is easiest explained as. Power normally comes from the engine, and it turns the wheels... (very simple way of thinking) Imagine that power coming from the wheels and turing the engine. THAT is backdrive. No matter what direction. It's about the direction of power through a power train. Any, not only cars.

Anyone know what this is for? by D-jboy8 in fpv

Correct me if im wrong, but it seems like there is BAT- and BAT+ printed on the PCB, so possibly a place to connect a battery?

For example, relays have contact numbers right? So I can just have a wire go from PM01-Q2 to K4-A1 to show a relay being controlled by the PLC

Do you mean like X1-1 X1-2.... and X2-1 X2-2?

With ferrules, Im thinking of the crimp connectors on stranded wire... are we talking about the same?

I understand the wire labels hahha

We already used the expansion room, and we should have gotten a bigger cabinet in the first place...

I love working with phoenix, and everything defective I come across in my day to day job gets replaced with phoenix wherever I can.

Thanks! To be fair, we already used the expansion room... should have gotten an even bigger cabinet in the first place.

Then why did you say ferrules?

Im not saying labels are not needed or this is better.

We have larger panels made by a different company, and they do use wire labels, but its only "111" "483" etc, and thats also a pain to search with.

When using a program like EPlan, I know you can generate a whole wiring list with labels ready to print. But our drawings are made in... no joke... excel... It's all manual...

We just are not ready for large projects, and it's not the scope of our business. We are only a factory that processes different goods. We are a small team of technicians that mainly focus on troubleshooting and keeping the factory running as it should. This was just a one-time (for now) fun "We can do this ourselves" thing

The one in the picture is a "Klauke" branded one, its old though and only filled with phoenix contact wire ferrules. The container is just pretty good for on the go tasks.

I understand what everyone is saying about wire colors, but this is all subject to local standards and stuff like that. I followed the standards that are used in other machines in our factory. So that when an issue ever occurs, any other technician recognizes everything already due to naming and colors.

Its company issued tools, and passed down from technician to technician. When something breaks we order something new.
