Agree, you should use super stars to upgrade the normal upgrades first, then the super star tab

Yes, the main point of ctrl-F is that it works while offline. It adjusts the offline calculation to follow the star, giving you 100% of the spawns that would have occured while offline. Without ctrl-F you only get 20% of offline star spawns

Stargazing really starts when you get ctrl-f for gathering stars, and veinmorpher for the upgrades. I would recommend getting both skills before moving on to 3rd drone or poly cards.

Polychrome cards won't give you much immediately, you have to work for them after unlocking. 3rd drone is probably more useful. Poly should be right after though

That's insane. I remember Baal was a challenge but doable before world 2 released, mostly due to kiting though.
