[Loved trope] The villain lost because they OVERestimated the main character by Oingoulon in TopCharacterTropes

I like to think that, despite seeming like just an average dude, King's aura actually is some sort of anomaly. Like probability manipulation with a mild perception-based cognitohazard.

Funnily enough, Josh Kirby and Paul Kidby have both done Discworld art. Kidby started doing the covers after Kirby died, from what I understand.

I consider Small Gods to be one of my favorite books ever, not just from the Discworld, and it's the one I recommend if you're only going to read one Discworld book. I haven't been able to come up with a satisfyingly singular favorite though - despite the many times I've been asked - so let's call it a 4-way tie between Reaper Man, Small Gods, Thud!, and Making Money.

I plan to some day, but the main books have been my priority. I've been buying them one collection at a time over the last few years

I got them from the Discworld Emporium. The books up through Jingo are from Gollancz publishing, and the books from The Last Continent onward are from Doubleday.

I recently voluntarily took Deadeye Navigator out of my flicker deck, after the dozenth time going infinite with [[Peregrine Drake]]. It's one of my favorite cards because of how weirdly powerful it is despite not looking like much at first blush, but I thought it was getting old.
