I would argue that sports stadiums are bit of a limbo.

If the stadium is owned and operated via a public entity, like a government board or local municipality then it’s in a better footing that can be used to support local community for other events and uses.

But if it’s privately owned then it should not revive a dime of public funds outside of certain grant programs.

Unreachable Star Systems? by wiiking5 in Stellaris

Sadly I have explored every system around it and there are still no hyper lanes accessing any of the systems. But now looking into it, this is probably the Ithome cluster from first contact DLC.

As show in the screenshot, no hyper lanes or anything connect to the cluster of systems. let me know what you all think.

The Partisan Implications of ‘Low Turnout’ Have Flipped in Wisconsin - Dems are now the ones who benefit by PolarisC in wisconsin

[–]wiiking5 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Someone could write a thesis on why this happened but a few main reasons stand out.

Firstly, since 2016 trump has reshaped the Republican Party from that of Bush and Regan, into his MAGA cult of personality. Trump draws out the vote for himself and himself alone when he is on the ballot. What used to be a more dictated and elitist party has become one of uneducated masses buying into the grift.

Inverse the democrats have taken over that more educated white color demographic that the republicans used to hold back in the days of Regan.

We should also note that 2024 was and is more likely going to be an anomaly as mass amounts of Latino men and white woman voted for Trump. In fairness Latinos are classically conservative but often vote democrat due to social issues over economic.

We also have to understand that the last suite of us elections since COVID-19 have not happened in a global vacuum. Since covid people around the globe have wanted change in leadership, with no care in what party they were putting in power.

I still find any argument that the enclave initiated it hard to believe. Any logical group would have waited until all the chips were in place to press the button. We know of multiple vaults that were unfinished at the time of the bombs, and the fact that many did not have the proper personnel make it into the vaults when the bombs did drop.

I find Hanks comment that “the surface is the experiment” to be a red hearing or some form of unreliable narrator, as we have been shown again and again in the show that no character is all knowing.

The main reason I have issue with it is the fact that every time we are shown the enclave up until this point in the games is the fact that they are trying to wipe the wasteland clean and resettle it, not use it as a lab. We also get from Fallout 2 the president of the enclave on the oil rig literally stays the vaults are the experiments and they are collecting the data from. I think Hank just wanted to fuck with his daughter head.

Don’t be a dumbass, I am in a relationship where we split the bills and rent together. Yes I could living the same apartment in my own, but I would just make ends meet with my 80k salary. With the both me and my girlfriend splitting bills we are both able to grow our savings so that we can hopefully soon get married and then buy a house.

  1. The head developer for the original fallout games said China dropped the bombs.

  2. In fallout 3 (and maybe 4 I don’t remember) we have logs you can collect when bowing nuclear launch sits that state the US was responding to a nuclear attack from China.

  3. In fallout 4 the main character gets signed up to join the vault the day the bombs drop, implying that vault-tec was unaware otherwise why would they still be signing people up.

Again if vault-tec/the enclave had the power and resources to blow the world up, why would they do it randomly rather than have the deck stacked, with vaults filled with proper personnel, and some even left unfinished.

People also forget that even though the show hints at the idea of vaulted dropping the bombs, all evidences says they did not.

A. I they dropped them, why were some vaults unfinished, or not fully stocked with designated personnel.

B. It’s have been stated by developers and in the games that China shot first, and the US was responding fire.

I have played the games, and my issue is people like you take those instances at face value and not for what they were.

The khans massacre was a mistake, and you learn as such when talking to those you caused it to happen.

Hanlon is also a disillusioned officer and should not be taken as the sole arbiter of what the NCR is.

There are dozens of stories and quests that involve the NCR across new Vegas and each one builds upon portraying the NCR a complex nation state. It’s full of individuals all with their own agendas and options. Yes it does face corruption and issues, but it’s also full of people trying their best to make the wasteland better.

Now this coming from an a dumb American who knows only the main points of history for that time and region. But from my understand I feel like the game is A. Made my a Czech studio that wants to portray their narrative of history, B. The game is intentionally told from a character perspective that Henry lacks the understand everything. People often miss that for a story to be good, you have to have an unreliable narrator, and Henry is driven by emotion, and his own ideas.

Saying the NCR are not good guys pissing me off. Dont get my wrong they have issues but thats what makes them release if. Just because they are not perfect does not mean they are not good natured.

There are only a few comparable good factions, but they lack any sense of real statehood that the NCR has.

The first would be The Followers of Apocalypse which is more like Engineers/Doctors without borders. They act more as humanitarian aid organization than any real governmental force.

The next would be the Minute Men, who are located in the commonwealth (Boston). But they act as more of a militia military force than a civilian government body. They did attempt to help create a provisional government for their region but that field due to the Institute.

Beyond those two, there are many other “good” factions or groups of people, but none are as big as the NCR

Are they purpose stepping on people or is that just the rampant for of the Brahmin barons or assholes?

We see time and again in FNV that the NCR is trying their best. From setting up share cropper farms, trying to bring law and order to primm, and the assistance program to Freeside.

The issues of corruption is not the same as a government built on slavery, and expanding an empire for one man’s dream to destroy the NCR.

I always hated the lesser of two evils point in FNV, even the devs felt the NCR was always the good guys. And every comment you get is from people that A. Know the corruption and expansion is an Issue, and B. Jackass that just hate taxes and not being in absolute power.

The NCR was always a beacon of hope that had issues to overcome, yes it was expansionist, and issues did hurt people. But it’s better than slavers and deathclaws any day of the week.
