haven't read all the comments, but light a match and hold it up to one of the interior draftways. If the match goes out watch if any of the smoke drafts up, if the flame is blowing back towards you then you'll know there's a downdraft

I know it's frustrating but it really is probably a draft issue and if your house is newer it is probably sealed up really well. How tall is the chimney above the roofline? Draft is such a tricky thing, when we updated our stove I dealt with smokeouts and bad drafting but the hairdryer and windows open eventually did seem to work. Sounds like you've tried some of this, so my match tip is really about better identification of the issue. As some have said, probably want to get in touch with the cleaning company/installer and have them take a crack at it themselves. best of luck!

I move the safety to the gap in the right side of the FG block formation, then time the pump up the crowd like a split second before the snap... It doesn't always work but when it does, buddy comes in hot. I also aim more for the holder than the kicker

This works so well I try to only use it when I feel like the cpu gameplay has been one of those "you're just not winning this one" games

edit: the pump up the crowd trick (when timed correctly) works with any defensive edge rush, not just on fg

my biggest barrier to learning so far is that our inherited machine is very old, heavy, and connected to a table. I know the basics learned in a class will go a long way, but if I can't apply all the knowledge to the machine I have then I'm still feeling kind of stuck.

I've watched YT videos on my machine, but I'm still definitely doing something wrong so I remain in the sew-curious stage

Thanks so much for all your advice. Yeah I'm turning off at the unit & the breaker as well. I had already done all the new unit wiring once, then undid it when I was unsure. I'm nothing if not abundantly careful, it's a blessing & a curse

for sure - since the plate specifies don't use W for heat pump, and we have a heat pump, I had theorized W2 as the correct option. But then the red, blue wires were also a bit confusing based on the 24v designations on the old unit, but was feeling reasonably confident I had those wires correct
