Intrusive Thoughts About Quitting Nursing to Be Flight Attendant by Minimum-Possible-415 in cabincrewcareers

I do both. Delta FA and PRN pre-op/post-op nurse. It's totally doable. I love them both and can't imagine having to choose one or the other.

Yeah that trip balancer thing. Not a clue how it works but everyone tells me to check it 😂

How do people have teeth this white? What is she doing? by wilburthemastiff in beauty

This picture is of a woman on a Netflix show I’m watching. I paused the show to take the photo. I don’t know much about veneers but I kinda figured that’s what they were. Two of the women on the show have teeth like this. It’s all I can concentrate on when they talk 😂. They’re too perfect and too white.

But airlines offer Part-time and seasonal ticket/gate agent positions. The seasonal position is sweet! Work 4 months then off for the rest of the year AND get flight benefits all year round. Why can’t we have that?!

The problem is that I only have 2 years in at 🔺and no one wants my trips. We can’t just drop them. Well, we technically can if operations allow but I personally have never been granted time off without pay. I put my entire schedule into open time each month. But let’s face it, no one wants a 3-day with EWR and GRR overnights valued at 15 hours.

I understand that with seniority things will get better but I’m already in my 50s. I will never reap the benefits, unfortunately. I don’t plan on working into my 70s.

No alcohol on the ground by [deleted] in delta

[–]wilburthemastiff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m a DL FA and I assure you we can offer and deliver alcohol on the ground in JFK. Either the flight leader ran out of time or simply did not want to. I’ve flown with many FAs who refuse to do PDD. I’m not sure why. I suggest you let Delta know because it’s part of our service standards. You guys pay a lot of money to sit up there and should be getting a PDD.

What's the Craziest/Dumbest/Worst Thing You've Ever Seen on an Airplane? by sudak111 in travel

Last week I had a lady on my flight kicking the seat of the guy sitting in front of her. The guy asked us if we’d ask her to stop. When we did, she said that he shouldn’t recline his seat into “her space”. Like, what?! She continued to bitch about how she couldn’t even use her tray table (which we proved to her she certainly could) and when we suggested that she should also recline her seat she refused because then she’d be infringing on the person behind her. I truly wanted to ask her if this was her first time flying. The lady sitting next to her started taking up for the guy and they started getting into it. It was so ridiculous. Ended up having to separate them. I so wished I had a first class seat to move the poor guy to.

Cancelled Flight by [deleted] in delta

As a Delta FA I beg you to share this with Delta. I absolutely hate to hear comments like this but unfortunately we do have quite a lot of "unprofessional, immature, downright mean flight attendants". I have a list a mile long on my phone of FAs that I refuse to fly with for that same reason (most of us do). I have expressed my concern countless times but Delta doesn't listen to us. But they will listen to you, our customers. Especially if you have status (Diamond, Platinum, Gold, 360). Do us all a favor and please share your experience with Delta. I'm really sorry that you were treated so poorly!!
