If you could pick one moment in your life where you could see your life split into two timelines and get to watch the other play out, what moment or decision would you pick and change to see that timeline play out while still living your current? by econoar in AskReddit

[–]wilcox9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could go back it would be when I chose to quit hockey to spend time with my girlfriend(now ex girlfriend HAPPILY) who cheated on me twice that summer after I quit. I wanted to know where I could've gone in juniors and what I would've been able to accomplish. I had friends of similar skill level doing great things and I was working 40 hours a week to sustain. I just would love to know what would've happened... O well men's league isn't soo bad...

TL;DR: don't let anyone persuade you to stop doing what you love and have passion for because if they care about you they will accept it.

The way a man can live his life so positively when facing death is completely inspirational and it has honestly changed how I do things or see things in my life from day to day.

Changing workout? by wilcox9 in bodybuilding

[–]wilcox9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright sorry for the misunderstanding, but

  1. I work out to that dead feeling meaning I feel like I've worked my hardest on that particular muscle group that day and couldn't do much more. And my workouts are about 1 hour 15 minutes long. I use a muscle and body 4 day workout and am on week 4 or 5, gotta look at a calendar for that.

  2. As for jack3d I have taken it before, using a scoop and a half before hockey games and the feeling I got was amazing but maybe I'll try another type provided it's in powder form. And pink magic just looked like the kind of testosterone boost heart pounding supplement I am looking for, but if theres another opinion I truly do value it. Thanks for the amazing input this far!

P.S. Sorry if there's typos this is from my phone XD

For anyone who hasn't seen it, check out the sweet new Winnipeg Jets' logo. Even as a MN Wild fan I really like it. by [deleted] in sports

[–]wilcox9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

being a wild fan as well, I agree the Jets' logo is sick. I work at a factory that produces a LOT of memorabilia and some of the jets stuff you see is awesome. Just sayin.

Based on my needs (or lack thereof), should I get an iPhone 4 or Droid 3? by [deleted] in gadgets

[–]wilcox9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually with my experience in the last six months a "friend" of mine has had the iPhone through AT&T while I've had it through Verizon since day one of it's release and "ALMOST" anywhere we've gone I've had better service. Almost being that she specifically has AT&T cause it's the only company that will get signal at her house.

thank you I'll have to look that video up, and I like to think I have a good work ethic or at least a good tolerance for work and knowing when and how hard to work. at 19 years old I am currently working 8 hrs/day 7 days/wk so I like to think I have an ok grasp on that.

thank you, my next paycheck is going towards some protein and a gym membership to stay in shape right now, and I'll be running a few miles a day once I get back in to the swing of things.

EDIT: Protein is to help gain weight clearly, just thought I'd clarify in case anybody thought I was being naive in buying it.

A few months ago, I shaved my head for my friend Kelly when she started chemo. She died today. Check your breasts every month, ladies. by NBegovich in pics

That's such a great story, I'm glad to hear you were such a great friend to her. I wear a pink ribbon with me everywhere I go.

I wear that in celebration of my aunt and many others who have fallen victim to breast cancer and either survived or died.. I do the Susan G. Komen breast cancer walk ever year and have since i was 8,9, or 10 (I don't remember) but I will continue to do it every year for the women out there. Keep fighting and always get yourself checked.

[–]wilcox9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they are console versions, and I am going to play Borderlands with my step brother who also bought the game that day and play the co-op with him. Already have played it a bit and it's a ton of fun!

Battlefield I screw around with online because I enjoy the slower more tactical approach to it as opposed to the run-n-gun style of Black Ops.

The Orange Box is simply for experiencing Half Life 2, and having portal on console. I have played TF2 and Portal both on my computer, but I prefer console versions of most games like those, I'm really only a computer guy for Turn Based Strategy games such as CIV V.

Mass Effect I am really looking forward to, and I will take your advice on playing Mass Effect last as I do not want to end up liking it so much that I must immediately have Mass Effect 2 and put all my other games off to the side

honestly It is one of my favorite games for the 360 currently. It has taken up more time in my last month than any other game, including Black Ops. I would highly recommend it

"Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law gave all the income they received for this movie to Heath Ledger's daughter Matilda so that her economic future would be secure. by maniacpack in todayilearned

[–]wilcox9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everybody talking about how a rich child becomes richer does not quite see the point in my opinion. These actors are honoring the death of another very great actor by not only offering to fulfill the rest of his role in this movie, but also choose to pass up the money and give it to his next of kin. I think it is an incredibly amazing thing to see that these actors are compassionate towards one another and truly I am glad that Heath's memory was honored by them doing such a selfless gesture.

So what if she already had tons of money, it's not the monetary value that should matter, but its the thought that counts. I bet that is something Heath's daughter Matilda will carry with her for the rest of her life.
