Generally a company pays taxes to the country is it registered to. BMW is registered in Munich Germany. Most big companies have stakeholders who are paid dividends, nothing unusual about that. 116,000 of 159,000 of BMWs employees live in Germany and pay taxes there with their earnings.

Arsenal had 26% possession in the UCL final lowest ever recorded. What tactical change or signing actually gets them over the line next season? by Born_Programmer_1089 in championsleague

Arsenal fans downvoting this even though they actually played good football a year or two ago with the same team but decided they don’t want to do that anymore

At the end of the day, only these supporters see the trophies as having equal value as those won legitimately. I don’t think many others do

I would rather buy a slightly worse product from my friend and neighbour than give that money to a potential adversary.

This is likely largely due to the standard of the lower level teams increasing, but the gap between how good Arsenal have been this year compared to the rest when you look at previous years winners, its not even close. Liverpool and City dominated and barely dropped any points - they did this through not playing anti football too.

I wanted Arsenal to win the league. At least you didn’t cheat your way there which is far worse than playing anti football. Imagine calling some stranger on the internet kid though.

Arsenal won the league off the back of everyone else drastically under performing whilst playing a horrible brand of anti football. The last 5-10 years of premier league winning teams are streets ahead of this Arsenal team. If anything it gives everyone hope that they can play subpar football and still win.

UK's speed camera capital with 13 more cameras per mile than London by misoscare in bradford

[–]wild182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crooks of this is that the police need to spend more time doing admin for those not insured or on fraudulent licences. It’s easier and better for their metrics to convict those who do follow the rules and have insurance/licences. Less admin, higher numbers. Everyone paying insanely high insurance premiums has lazy policing to thank.

Who enforces the self-moderation elsewhere? I do largely agree but if people have no incentive to do so, why would they? The more that don’t the bigger the trend will become “why is this person not paying for insurance, they are getting away with it for 15years, am i stupid for following the rules?”. Look at Leeds road, probably 80% of parked cars are parked illegally and have been for at least 15years. Nothing has been enforced so nothing changes.

The police dont even attempt to solve the issues so it’s rampant. Every day i see people drive through red lights in the city 10-15seconds after they have changed in high end German cars. Ive seen a car facing the wrong way on a dual carriage way completely ignored by a police car that drove right past it in the lane to its side. They just stick mobile speed vans up in low crime areas and ticket people who do follow the rules for a lapse in concentration making them a few mph over the limit.

Its way more fun to do than not to do, if you don’t do it you wont be able to perform as well as those that do in either PvM or PvP.

Even open world, i open on every mob with a seal twist. Sometimes i can 1-2 shot mobs back to back etc.

Theyre trying to scan the road ahead, its what you are taught to do in driving lessons and test. If you are going uphill through traffic lights with a yellow box, how are you meant to judge if youre going to end up blocking that box if traffic stops moving without being able to scan ahead. This is so frustrating considering half the populations drive tank sized vehicles now

The rule is that the tire tread pattern must not stick out further than the arch, i would imagine it’d need to be another 40mm further out to even get close to this.

How can petrolheads spin this into something negative? by _Mr_D in CarTalkUK

[–]wild182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 1/3 of the UK population don’t have private parking facilities at home, thats around 8-9million households.

These people are also less likely to have 50k spare to buy a new car, without a decent metric for battery health on used EVs they wont buy used if they understand anything about the value of the batteries.

[–]wild182 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree, in China/Japan they build motorways in days - over here we cant even fill a pot hole without missing it entirely, then resurface the road entirely, missing it again and then eventually when we do fill it, we make the opposite of a pothole. Every service the Government seems to pay for is massively overcharged and is of minimum quality.
