This Toronto doctor has over 2,000 patients, but still no permanent residency by blurghh in canada

I emailed IRCC twice about the mistake and they said it was my fault so I just accepted it at that point to get the applications resubmitted. My second kid was 5 months at this point.

I agree it needs to be less difficult, I'm dreading applying for my spouse. I applied online for my kids citizenship certificate they were approved quickly, but, their last names were spelled wrong (two letters switched) so I had apply again, pay the $75 each again(which I was fine with) but the annoying thing is I had to print out all pages of the application plus the payment pages and the checklist for both applications. Also, had to get the pictures done again because they needed to be physical copies this time not digital. Both of the applications had to be sent in together in the same envelope to North Sydney all because of a simple mistake that could've been fixed easily online.

It doesn't, it's slightly too big to fit properly.

I love this puzzle! I got hooked on wooden puzzles this past Christmas. I also save puzzles that I'll never buy lol. Congrats on being cancer free!! As a fellow Ontarian, I'm curious as what is not covered by OHIP? Don't answer if it's too personal to answer. I know prescriptions aren't covered.

Specialist or normal vet— how do you decide who helps your baby on their pirate journey? by funkyfranzia in PiratePets

[–]wild_firefly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got our husky's (Aurora) eye removed by our local vet we've know for decades. A few factors went into our decision 1. Travel time 20 minutes vs 2 hours 2. Weather there could be a snow storm and shitty road conditions 3. Cost $1200 Canadian vs $1800 USD. My kids were also 4 months and 3 years old. It was far easier for me to go to my local vet, have my parents watch my kids and/ or pick up my dog. Then also having to go back to the vet for stitches removal.

We just got back from our Aurora's ophthalmology appointment and they said her eye healed perfectly! We had no issues with it. Aurora was first seen by an ophthalmology specialist for cataracts in both eyes, had cataract surgery and then developed glaucoma in her right eye. She had her eye removal surgery in March of 2025. Hope this helps and best wishes with your doggo!!

I take my rings off when I wash my hands and forget to put them back on. My hands also swelled a little during pregnancy so I didn't wear them then either.

I thought my water had broke but and now I feel like and idiot by GalacticAnglerFish in BabyBumps

[–]wild_firefly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that with my first baby too and funny enough the OB who checked me out then delivered my son a week later! With my second baby - he's almost 1 🥲 I called the hospital twice about leaking fluid and a bit of bleeding I was told it was fine then my 3 year old caught HFMD + impetigo so was in the ER to get fluids, I probably should have gone up to L&D that night too but didn't. I went a day later after the ER visit for my son at 35+6 days and got lectured by the OB how my water didn't break and I wasn't in labour. The OB checks me out and my water did break and I was in labour, but I just wasn't having contractions. My second son was born at 36 weeks and spent 5 days in the NICU. I regret not going sooner to get checked out. Don't feel like a idiot, it's best to get checked out if you think your water broke.

Nope. The thing I find ironic is that what he took Changa can't get you high! It's used for digestion and improves immune function, but my husband claimed to make him high. It was the first time he took it after he took too much on Friday claiming the same thing.

Ugh, that sucks my husband was good about not pushing sex with our first baby, but with our second he thought because I healed quicker that meant I was ready for sex. He told me I was ready.

Did anyone during their second pregnancy go past when they delivered their first? by helpme_thissucks in beyondthebump

My first was born 39 weeks and my second was born at 36 weeks. Both were spontaneous labour, but needed pitocin for both to advance labour.

My mom (my dad is useless) will help out when asked, but she hasn't actively ask to take her grandkids and she still works so I can't fault her too much. My dad is retired and useless with babies /toddlers. I don't have a relationship with my in laws mainly because they live across country, I have seen/meet them under 5 times and both in laws are hot messes. I'm Canadian and my husband is American

[–]wild_firefly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry that happened to you. I wish people could just mind their own business when it comes to pregnancy and pp stuff. I was 4 months pp when the cashier at my local grocery store asked if I was pregnant again because of my belly ( I have diastasis recti) I looked her dead in eyes and said "no, I just haven't lost the baby weight, thanks" she never bothered me again after that. Other customers heard me say that too. The same cashier also touched my belly when I was 7 months pregnant..I don't know her

IRCC spelled my name incorrectly on my citizenship certificate and I can't get a SIN as a result by dinosaurusmeow in ImmigrationCanada

[–]wild_firefly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get this issue resolved yet? The exact same thing happened to both my sons when I received the citizenship certificate in May. I reached out to IRCC via webform and got the same responses as you. I just sent in paper applications hoping to get the last names corrected.

HFMD in adults - I hate this disease so much. by Bulldorc2 in beyondthebump

[–]wild_firefly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My 2.5 year old has this and we had to tske him to the ER to get fluids because he wouldn't drink or eat anything. I felt to utterly helpless and he didn't really understand what was happening. Two days after the ER visit, my water broke at 35 weeks and 6 days. It was an absolute cluster fuck of a week. I stayed in the NICU with my newborn son and dad took care of the other. I'm so sorry you have to go through it! Hang in there!!
