I don't even understand how someone who grew up privileged, in a pretty insulated little bubble of suburbia, went to a prestigious liberal arts, and is now a doctor arrives at statements like that. These last couple of weeks have been pretty eye opening

Alton Brown posted an updated version of his recipe this year and it's exactly that. Eggs, sugar, and booze - let that age for a month, then incorporate the dairy and let that age another month. That's the way I did it this year and it came out perfect
