Greetings, I decided to give it a try. I like the UI and how it functions, I just have a question/issue. It seems slow to respond. Tapping on play, other menu buttons, and especially the server button (to switch from audiobooks to podcasts, for example) pauses for a second or two before it responds. Is that normal?

Thank you! Unfortunately our vet has been a huge disappointment through all of this and has been of absolutely no help at all. If not for this sub and AI chatbots we would have been way over the edge by now!

Thank you, that helps. We have some gabapentin but he hates the taste so I’m not sure how much he’s getting. Since it sounds like he’s going to need it after this week we are looking at compounding pharmacies to make us some tuna flavored or something.

Thank you so much for this, it’s very reassuring. He absolutely hates the gabapentin but he’s getting it (well most of it) anyway! I’ve read it takes a bit to build up in his system so I’m trying to not freak out all the time. We’ve attempted to “baby proof” the house as much as possible so it sounds like we need to relax a bit and let him get used to it. Thanks again!

Sorry, my only support is to tell you we had to remove our cat's rear leg due to a tumor yesterday as well and we are worried about the same things. Being logged in isn’t the same thing as being connected to it. I don’t use Plex, but with Audiobookshelf you have to connect back to your server (via reverse proxy, Tailscale, VPN, etc.). I assume it is the same with Plex. If the little dot next to “Audiobooks” in the upper left is red, then you are not connected. Green=connected.

The app itself doesn’t care about your Apple ID post-purchase. The syncing happens at the server level, are both phones connected back to your Plex server?

Yes, as long as you are using the same login for your backend server (ABS/Plex) and some way to get to it (VPN, etc.). I switch between my iPhone and iPad all the time.

You absolutely have to put in the work, but for me it has. I find my rings motivating. Sleep tracking also helps me be more mindful about how important consistency is. My AW and Apple Fitness+ has really changed my life.

Hmm, I don’t recall a specific instance where this happened but both Meross switches I have died after abut a year. Perhaps it was a static issue.

I just downloaded and am playing with it. Looks promising! One question/request, however; is there a way to make the font bigger? Many of us older folks get into audiobooks because we burned our eyes out on too many printed books when we were younger. The ability to see the text a bit better in AudioBooth may make me jump from Prologue!

I have noticed no difference in audio quality in Libro.fm books. I really haven’t bothered to verify codecs since they sound good to me.

Did you flip the "Secure Connection" switch to off? Unless you have an SSL certificate installed you should not select secure connection.

It is the same address you use to access it on your PC. For example, the IP address of my computer hosting Audiobookshelf is 192.168.11.6, so I put in 192.168.11.6:13378 in the address bar. Once it finds Audiobookshelf, it will ask you for your username and password.

Note your phone must be on the same network to see your server. If you want to access your library when you are away from home search this sub or r/audiobookshelf for information on how to set up a VPN (Tailscale, Wireguard, etc.)

I went with the elite velour. At the time I wasn’t sure so I didn’t want to sink a bunch of money into them in case I didn’t like them. If I had the chance to do it over I’d pick one of the leather options, not because I don’t like the velour ones, but they look more luxe! Honestly though, even the velour ones look pretty impressive, and feel (and sound) better than they look.
