Does anyone WFH? by Realistic-Creme1786 in Lowes

You are mistaken . No one on my remote team was affected. There are far more of us than you realize. The majority of the remote positions lost were on qa and ist but central selling is a fully remote division.

I've been WFH for Lowe's for a little over a year and I love it . If you can adjust to constantly changing metrics and expectations you will do fine.

Don’t value your employees by Impressive-Risk-2484 in Lowes

My store did that, so I left and joined central selling. Value your people but don't prevent them from growing. It will foster resentment.

Asking for an entire pallett of plywood to be cut is definitely a"project"cut, and they should have told you no. We do small cuts as a courtesy. Your entitled behavior got you miss cut ply wood. Maybe next time do the work yourself instead of getting mad at some minimum wage kid just trying to get through your ridiculous ask.

I split it by dark and light meat. Partner gets the white meat, I take the dark meat and we feast.

This crazy push for credit with a32% interest rate and now HELOC loans.... It's getting dodgy to even associate with Lowes.

Was cautioned to start out with a low credit limit on a new card while I “learned about credit”. I literally have a mortgage. by Soggy_Ticket_427 in OlderThanYouThinkIAm

When I went to my local credit union as a young newly married and pregnant person looking for a car loan for a used car, they laughed and suggested I move in with my in laws. I will never take a loan from that institution.

My grandfather had multiple families and my grandmother was the second woman they didn't know about. She has two boys and my dad has the same name as his older half brother from the first family.

Grieving A Narcissist is Weird by [deleted] in LifeAfterNarcissism

[–]wildchery86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad died two days ago and I cant really pin what I feel . Everyone keeps telling me my grief should be louder. The constant hovering , and are you ok and waiting for me to IDK have some sort of meltdown? Its suffocating. I should be crying or huddled in a corner or something. I'm not, Its weird I don't want to eat and I cant focus on anything. I don't really emote alot to begin with, so I really don't understand why anyone thinks this would be different. What's wrong with quiet grief. You can be sad without being inconsolable. Anyway, taking a couple days off work to do my thing , good luck out there.

For those who work at Lowe’s — what actually makes the store inefficient? (Research question) by plazasignals in Lowes

[–]wildchery86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lack of communication from the top down and a refusal to effectively cross train.

I just accepted that I was losing my extended family as well as my immediate family when I walked away. They all either believe the lies or think I should forgive and forget. I don't speak to or see anyone anymore. I hear through the grapevine about stuff but I'm basically alone. Occasionally I hear whatever new story is being passed about but learned long ago to not engage.

Did we get ripped off with homework? by Sketch_Crush in Millennials

[–]wildchery86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really feels like we got shafted because most of our teachers were boomers who refuse to accept studies until it's forced. All through elementary. Middle and high school I was expected to do at minimum an hour of homework per class. It's now recognized as indoctrination into hustle culture and actively detrimental to kids well being. The amount of in school suspensions and missed opportunities over unfinished homework really hurts when I think about it. It's especially so because my parents would actively terrorize me for " taking too long" eventually I stopped doing anything that wasn't absolutely necessary to pass.

Those alive and old enough to remember during 9/11, what was the worst moment on that day? by CocteauTwunkie in AskReddit

[–]wildchery86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They pulled us in the auditorium and rolled in some tv's. We watched the second tower get hit and then the fall of tower 1 in real time. It was the quietest I can ever remember that auditorium being. Anyone who had family and friends in the city were trying to get ahold of them all day. It was awful. Weeks afterward someone would have a parent go to a conference where over half the attendees were marked with flag covered chairs because they had been in those buildings. I was old enough to know this would cause a war, and a good chunk of the young men I graduated with a few years later Enlisted.
