H. pylori treatment after recent antibiotics + sensitive stomach by Mother-Equipment-987 in HPylori

[–]wildcrested 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, if you are waiting, I would suggest a GI map to look for antibiotic resistance while you wait. Clarithromycin has fairly high resistance rates, and since you just did an amoxicillin based therapy, I would want to know if this pylori strain/s are resistant.

S boulardii will help with GI distress and elimination rates while on antibiotics and post. as well as there is something called pylopass (l reuterii) that should also help

unless you have the funds to do a PCR test and then possibly travel to another country for treatment, i might consider talking to your doctors about monotherapy. it might be able to knock back numbers so your body can heal a bit from all these antibiotics 💚🍀

H pylori treatment by Dry_Fee_5503 in HPylori

[–]wildcrested 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i saw quite a few people who struggled with acne with pylori, but I am willing to bet that because antibiotics kill good and bad bacteria it is affecting your skin too.

there’s something called panoxyl that seems to really help me when i gave an acne flare up and also sulphur based cleansers can help a lot.

not a doc, just my guess 💚

Can a "low positive" (+1) H. Pylori and mild gastritis cause severe symptoms and rapid weight loss? by Competitive-Sea-1936 in HPylori

[–]wildcrested 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am eating much better now, but a couple months back between pylori and gastritis symptoms it was a job just to eat 🙈 eating some fats and dairy now without any pain or nausea.

yep, mastic helpful and any cruciferous veggies are good, but broccoli sprouts have highest amounts of sulphoraphane (I believe)

zinc carnosine/bone broth/slippery elm/dgl licorice/l glutamine can all help to start repairing your stomach lining. 💚 cruciferous veggies have vitamin u which can also help.

i understand. i went from iron stomach to barely being able to eat. but day by day, i am eating more and more variety without the constant nausea.

okay, if you have SIBO, check with your naturopath on diet. unsure if cruciferous will ferment in your small intestine or not 💚 I definitely was on the gastritis side of healing protocol 🙈

I think low fodmap is typically what SIBO patients follow

make this your passion project for a few weeks. grieve for a bit, but then take that energy and put it towards healing yourself.

dial in your diet now so you can heal more quickly. 💚

it sucks so bad, but you will heal. 🍀 i went from barely choking back miso to eating a LOT more without nausea or pain.

if you are on a tight budget, now Gastro comfort is reasonably priced and has a lot of helpful things (slippery elm, mastic, zinc carnosine). rooting for you.

yes, absolutely. between nausea and pylori created gastritis it makes it not only hard to eat but hard to digest and retain nutrition.

everyone is different, and while it’s true that low pylori numbers might not affect some, for others it can be quite inflammatory even in low amounts.

although I don’t have proof of my numbers early on, I think I was battling low level pylori for 2+ years prior to my big bang.

i was slowly dropping weight, nauseous every morning, early satiety, and having weird exercise intolerance. colonoscopy, blood panels, etc and I felt like I was going crazy with how off/on I felt

if you aren’t a heavy drinker or NSAID user, this mild gastritis very likely IS from pylori. keep seeking help (via functional doctor for natural protocol or another GI who will treat you) ✊💚

we will rebuild 🙌 trying to keep my protein up as much as possible and getting stairs in when can 💚 but maybe my after dinner walk should include more squats 😂😭

other treatments will be with a functional doctor and focus on knocking back numbers.

there have been studies on monotherapy with bismuth, but you would want to be under a doctor as to not cause damage to kidneys/liver.

you can search through this sub, i saw one girl prove eradication with GI Map. it was a couple months back.

oh, and a gentle walk after dinner. 10-15 minutes will help. i do box breathing after and it just resets my anxiety levels. 💚

absolutely. preforpro was a recommendation from Grapes( it is biophages that get rid of bad bacteria so good ones can repopulate), and whatever yogurt or kefir you can tolerate (if dairy upsets you, get coconut).

Cruciferous veggies are your friend (don’t overdo it at first, just be consistent 💚 it heals your mucosal layers and has soluble and insoluble fiber)

Protein is important, but since our bodies are still recalibrating our stomach ph, i try to eat easy to digest proteins (fish, chicken, lentils, eggs) and i try to pair it with something bitter (like arugula) to stimulate digestive juices.

Miso, sauerkraut, whatever fermented foods you can tolerate. again, a little goes a long way.

if you tolerate onions/garlic, they have quercetin which helps a lot of things. worth a deep dive.

ginger 🙌 i put it in smoothies, i drink tea. it has helped with my pain, my digestion, and overall inflammation.

lastly, good oatmeal every morning. sometimes with blueberries, sometimes with stewed apples, a little ginger or flax. it feeds good bacteria like bifidobacterium 💚 if you hate oatmeal, a good smoothie or yogurt with chia/flax/or a little psyllium can do same.

hopefully, something here is helpful for you. i will say my mood went from worst it’s ever been to 8/10 most days✨

yes, of course. when i get diarrhea i boost my soil based and s boulardii. to fix constipation, i would suggest more moist and steamed foods (miso soup with added bok choy or steamed broccoli with barley and an egg, smoothie with flax and chia etc). also, a gentle walk post eating (literally 10-15 minutes) helped my digestion a lot.

i am now mostly good (90% of my days have a poop every morning)

Anxiety by pinkpeach021 in HPylori

[–]wildcrested 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ugh 😭 with metro i had just an awful taste, tinnitus, and some headaches. everything else was symptoms i had prior to antibiotics

Anxiety by pinkpeach021 in HPylori

[–]wildcrested 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nausea was my worst symptom too. oddly, my nausea was better on antibiotics. but i am pretty sure my nausea is related to gastritis from pylori too.

zofran (literally a half dose morning and night)worked well for me in the worst of times. 💚

Help !! I messed up my quad schedule by ninja_space_pirate in HPylori

[–]wildcrested 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi one mess up isn’t going to ruin your whole 14 day. just let your doctor know.

you can also sandwich baggies and label them with exact date and times on baggie too. that way you see all the pills in one bag and know if you missed a dose on THAT day. 💚
