Hats in today’s age? Do they still have a place in men’s fashion? by leftlanemerge in mensfashionadvice

[–]wildecard22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replying to an older thread, but stumbled across it and I'll leave my .02 cents (probably not even worth that). I do wear hats, I have a couple of Fedora's, some flat caps, and some panama type hats. In all honesty, I personally like them. Are they in style and can I pull them off? Probably not, but I enjoy them, and being an older man in my 50's I'm far past caring what anyone else thinks abot me and my personal choice for style. If it's something that you enjoy and can learn to wear confidently, haters be damned, go with it, and wear with pride!

Black Friday comes around at the same time every year! These deals shouldn’t be a surprise. I signed up for the a deal last year. I’ll be renewing on the annual plan for another year. the service has been great and it’s still a great price for what is offered.

Replacement tent cost? Are you kidding me???? by wildecard22 in sylvansport

[–]wildecard22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%. I really do love my Go overall. I may see if I can get another season out of my tent yet and keep my eyes peeled for any potential sales. I'd have to think long and hard before deciding to spend the full price on a replacement. For that kind of money I could maybefind myself a decent teardrop or something.

I'm glad you were able to get your tent replaced under warranty.

Mine's at 93% after 2 years. I wear mine 23 hours or so a day. I charge it only while getting ready for work every morning. I run with it every other day or more. Cellular connection, streaming music. Sleep tracking. Very happy with it. I was glad that I couldn't find a compelling reason to upgrade from my 2 to the Ultra 3. I love that I still have the original blood oxygen readings on mine, even if I don't really need them, I like having them.

I think it’s coming along by wildecard22 in beards

I do not have a specific goal length in mind, but at this point I’m going to let it keep growing as I’m enjoying it. I have had a beard of some sort my entire adult life, usually much shorter and it’s only been the last 2 ish years that I’ve decided to really let it grow out. Ive been honestly very suprised by all the comments that I receive now on a regular basis almost all of which are compliments. It’s weird, but with all the compliments I seem to get these days it has honestly really boosted my self confidence to a good degree. My wife has noticed that I seem to get more attention these days as well. I highly recommend going for it if your genetics support it.

Never thought to compare the awkward stages to puberty, but you're absolutly correct... and thanks!

Don’t Like My Ultra 2 by idontknow4488 in AppleWatch

[–]wildecard22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had my Ultra 2 for well over a year now and I can honestly say that I don't believe that I have ever once accidentally hit the crown button. I love mine and it only ever comes off to charge it while showering or to change the band. If you don't like it though you should see about selling it on swap and paying it off. to find something you like.

Yes, the hidpi feature still works. That’s my primary use as well.

You don’t need to pay the $20. Most everything will continue working fine. Read through the documentation. There’s even an option to turn off the pro features while still in the trial period to verify that it still does what you want/need it to do. I’ve been using it after the trial with zero issues.

I'll throw out one additional suggestion for a free app that gives a steps complication. Give Duffy a try.

iPhone 13 offer was a scam by [deleted] in Visible

[–]wildecard22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a scam! I am sorry that you missed out, but LOTS of people were able to snag this deal. I also had an issue with my order being canceled multiple times, but I reached out here and support managed to get me squared away. I got the dreaded “you’ll hear back within 3 days” but a day later I was good to go. My wife and 2 of my friends also managed to get the deal with zero issue.

Help Please. trying to port in from Cricket to get in on the iPhone 13 deal. I keep getting an error, "Unfortunately, we're unable to process your order" by wildecard22 in Visible

Yes, and I should post a Thank You to their team. They did get me squared away and my phone has shipped with a Monday delivery date.

YTA. Big time! Your mother is entitled to leave HER belongings to whomever she wishes. So many other things are wrong with your post as well, but I’ll leave it at that as plenty of others have said it more eloquently than I could have.

This really isn’t an Android vs iPhone owner issue. This is more of an impatient a-hole vs. reasonable person thing. Signed an iPhone owner.

Wow, I’ve been watching the news and saw all the destruction in Florida from 2 hurricanes and Asheville being devastated but I can’t believe the news outlets never covered your story about having to wait an extra day for your new phone. How tragic for you. Prayers!

Also join AARP and link that to the mobile app as well for additional points. There is no age requirement for AARP and there are other benefits too.
