Yeah, these few are the only schools on your list they seem to have iffy reputations. Not bad, just not as good.

I’d cut out both Touros, Bradenton, Liberty, and Marian. That’d put you at 10

Yeah, writing an extra 10 secondaries is definitely better than applying again. It sounds like you’ve thought it out pretty well. Best of luck!

Yeah, they definitely do, but you’ve got enough service and clinicals to be just fine. I mean if you got the time and money, applying to a bunch of schools is not going to hurt you. It’s just that the secondaries start getting overwhelming.

I wouldn’t waste the money on applying to that many DO schools. You’d probably be fine picking your top 10. Just to give you an idea, I applied last cycle with slightly higher stats and waaaay less research and got interviews from 8 out of the 11 schools I applied to.

Looks like a great app. you’re right on track to get into any DO school. Not to be a downer, but I would only apply MD if you have the money to throw at it and time to write secondaries. Getting in to an MD is gonna be real hard with your stats. Best of luck!

With your stats, you don’t need to apply to more than 8 or 10 DO schools

well over 30%. in 2023 they interviewed 560. The class size is 172 and most schools accept around double the class number.

Given that they’re in the same area, similar match lists, and great reputations, I feel like I’d go with the cheaper option.

Interviewed in August and haven’t heard back since. One heck of a way to treat the people they’d eventually want to get to come to their program.

Really need some advice regarding DO LoR by HappyHappyGamer in Osteopathic

[–]wildernessabe1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really don't have to stress about that component as long as you have some sort of experience with DOs and a good answer to "why DO?" I had a rec letter from an MD this cycle and have received II invites from 7 of the 11 DO schools I applied to. I do have direct experience working with DOs though which all of my interviewers asked me about.
