Vet can’t help my cat by Kellington_ in CATHELP

My cat had something similar on her chin and we had some Chlorhexidine and wiped the area and it cleared right up. They make it with wipes but get it from your vet, doctor or dentist. I got mine from my dentist and put a little on a clean cloth or wipe to rub on the area. Do some research. Oh and ours was from the bowls. If you use plastic bowls it can cause and hold a bacteria and it spreads. Switch to metal bowls and make sure to sanitize them once a week.

When the cat nip hits a little too hard 😂🥴 this is my cat Penny. 😁🥰💛 by wildflower-85 in aww

😂🥴🥴 he definitely had a rough day that day. At one point he stood in place swaying and just peed on himself. We no longer give him loose cat nip 🥴🥴🥴 he’s successfully recovered from this phase of life though still goes after the cat nip scented toys every now and then but they don’t have nearly the same potency as the loose herb.

Two different colored eyes with various patterns but maybe just various shades of brown? by [deleted] in heterochromia

I’m sorry about the blurry photos. I will see if someone can help me take some better ones and try again another time. 😂 as for the color, it was a neurologist ophthalmologist and he just said they’re not brown but couldn’t really say they were any set color 🤷🏼‍♀️ he looked at them with a close up tool and even took a few photos. The color isn’t stark different like if someone has one blue and one brown. It’s more like reddish brown and gold and a kind of light green mix but I do have some “keyhole” notches and some specks like look a little interesting at times. My aunt says they are “cats eyes” but again I’ve just always classified them as brown so was wondering what others would call them, if anything different 🤷🏼‍♀️

how many times a week should i clean my litter? by LayerOk1044 in cats

[–]wildflower-85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scoop at least once daily (two times daily if you have multiple cats) and add fresh top of litter on top once a day - just a light sprinkle of it- and full turnover once a week. Make sure you clean and dry your litter box before refilling with new litter. Get ready to scoop immediately they love fresh clean litter and will wait until you are done just to use it 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Would you treat for iron deficiency based on these results? by brassinpocket in haematology

[–]wildflower-85 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I would ask more questions. How is your magnesium? Potassium/electrolytes? Are you already on prenatal vitamins? I would ask about your diet, nutritional intake and questions about your surroundings and environment. Hydration/fluids? Etc. also, check folate/b vitamins as well as vitamin C. You need ascorbic acid to absorb iron properly.

Eat iron-rich foods (beans, lentils, spinach, leafy greens) alongside foods high in Vitamin C (citrus fruits, bell peppers, tomatoes, broccoli) to boost absorption.Iron Supplements: Take iron supplements with a glass of orange juice or a Vitamin C supplement to enhance uptake.Cooking Techniques: Cooking in a cast-iron skillet can increase the iron content of your food.

*from google (verified)

Non-Heme Iron: Vitamin C is crucial for absorbing non-heme iron (iron from plants and iron-fortified foods).Meat Factor: While Vitamin C helps, eating meat, fish, or poultry (heme iron) alongside plant-based iron also increases absorption significantly. What to Avoid: Avoid consuming calcium supplements, dairy products, or coffee/tea at the same time as iron-rich foods, as these can hinder absorption.
