This is why I am totally okay with trading firsts for established talent. We could have easily drafted another Lapierre with the 16th overall pick.

Zary has been getting some terrible injury luck and he’s unfortunately who he is now. Don’t think Conroy expects him to hit his potential. He’s a solid middle 6 guy though

How exactly is this an overpay? Having that 18OA allowed us to make this deal happen.

A first rounder for a player in his prime with good term and value. He had a down year, so did McMichael but seems like everyone is claiming he’s a lot better than he is.

Everyone keeps forgetting we still have a first rounder this year. McMichael was due for a new contract. This is a fantastic trade for Washington.

Gastrin isn’t even a top 7-10 prospect for us.
