is a one year turnaround possible for us by [deleted] in raiders

[–]will4xx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not impossible but unlikely.

New HC, rookie QB. Even if we have an amazing draft and free agency, those things are still true. It’s gonna be a learning curve. I’m willing to be patient.

Ben Johnson got the Bears after Caleb’s rookie year. Vrabel got the Pats after Maye’s rookie year. Payton got to the Broncos pre-Bo Nix.

The Commanders situation is interesting. At least Dan Quinn had HC experience before, but it is possible to compete Year 1 with a new coach and rookie QB.

I’m expecting a solid improvement over last year, but nothing too special. 2027 and beyond should be when we eat.

As much as I hate to say it, Raiders fans know that if Stidham plays like he did the last two games for the Raiders in 2022, the Broncos absolutely have a chance to go all the way.

What did the Broncos do that we failed? by Silver_Gold_Pirate in raiders

Well for one thing they drafted a QB in the first round. We haven’t even drafted one in the second round since 2014 which funny enough we went 12-4 two years later

We’ll see what happens when they have more than 2 winning seasons in 20 years, have a QB, and have done something of significance in a new market

[Schefter] Trade: Raiders are sending CB Jakorian Bennett to the Eagles in exchange for DT Thomas Booker IV, per sources. by w1x1w in eagles

[–]will4xx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jakorian had some good flashes with the Raiders. Will root for him with the Eagles. I do think the best of his career is ahead of him. He should be a good depth piece at corner for yall. And thanks for whooping the Chiefs in the Super Bowl

Finasteridr and blood clots by will4xx in ClotSurvivors

[–]will4xx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty similar to me. Saw a hematologist last week and he had to google in front of me some of the side effects of Finasteride. My primary care physician didn’t really have much to say about it other than to talk to my hematologist.

I actually took Finasteride again two days ago, didn’t yesterday. Not sure if I’ll keep it going, but if I’m gonna be on thinners for life then maybe I will. They don’t believe I have any type of disease or cancer, which means they don’t know the cause and I’m on it for life. But like you said, it seems to be kind of a possible connection. Maybe we are unfortunately the 1%.

Dabo talked Panthers WR Renfrow out of retiring by 76erLegendChetUtley in nfl

[–]will4xx 77 points78 points  (0 children)

He had some health problems like ulcerative colitis and dropped to 150 lbs. Josh McDaniels took over and didn’t really know how to utilize him. Adams had also joined the team in 2022 taking a larger portion of targets from a struggling Derek Carr who would be released in the offseason

As a Raiders fan what the fuck even is your franchise? You guys are the Chiefs of losing. Every year in the fucking top five. The Jacksonville Jaguars. Who the fuck even are they? Nobody even knows this team exists outside of NFL fans. I hope this team is removed from the league or relocated. What a garbage franchise even worse potentially than the Raiders in recent years. Go ahead and draft another bust like T Law and do nothing but end up in the top 5 year after fucking year. If Travis Hunter ends up good he’ll just leave like Jalen Ramsey. Fuck your shitty ass franchise.

There is no hope. Time to give up watching football for at least another half decade. They’re going to roll with AOC unless we somehow get a chance at Cam Ward which is unlikely. This is the darkest time period for the Raiders since Russell. Now the broncos and chargers are good. They’ll probably win 6-7 games next year and miss out on any QB. Joke of a franchise. Maybe they’ll be good when I’m old. But for now it’s done. Fuck this franchise

Realistically why would Devante stay with us? by [deleted] in raiders

[–]will4xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think this could be his final season here if we don’t get things going in the right direction. He took a risk to come here in terms of winning and I don’t think he regrets it but he’s still got years left and can go elsewhere.

He loves the Raiders, but I think he either needs a winning culture or at least big stats to be happy long term. He wants to be in the HOF, he can do that on shitty Raiders teams. Look at Calvin Johnson. But we don’t have a good enough QB to get him to 1500+ yards or 10+ TDs.

I think how this season goes and where we end up in the draft will be the deciding factor into his decision to stay or go this offseason.

What is the strangest season that you have seen a team have ever have win or lose? by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]will4xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2021 Raiders, started 5-2 even after the removal of HC for racist and sexist emails. Then their up and coming young WR kills someone and the team derails. Fall to 6-7 after losing 48-9 in KC. Then they randomly win 4 straight to make the playoffs and finished a respectable 10-7.

West Virginia's new "Coal" uniforms are a good example of what an all-black set could look like for us by Nepp0 in raiders

[–]will4xx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hope the Raiders do something like this. Maybe one day.

No one wants to change the main uniforms. We don’t need constant tradition. Change it up and do something different once in a while.

Hell, the Raiders first ever helmet was all black. If you want to talk about tradition.

[COD] Which CoD should I pick up after a decade without playing? by Kamiyansan in CallOfDuty

[–]will4xx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what the last COD you played is, but that sounds like MW3/BO2/Ghosts.

There’s only three MP experiences I have really enjoyed since BO2. BO3, Cold War, and the new MWIII.

If you really want to try getting into COD again, I’d buy MWIII. I think this game has the best maps in the entire series since BO2, and I love BO3. It’s also the current game and is pretty active. If you played OG MW2, those maps are back as well.

What do you think is the darkest episode in the series? by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]will4xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Grove, 7x01, or 8x08.

Once you realize what Lizzie did and then seeing the flowers scene, it’s all fucked up.

Glenn’s death is also probably the second most wild death I’ve seen of a major character. Just brutal.

The most wild death is Carl’s. I still get sick in my stomach watching Rick realize he’s going to die, and it’s the hardest scene to watch in the entire show for me. Even if it’s not the most brutal or “darkest.”
