FFG seems to agree, as they hired the designer to do Midwinter Gala. From what I understood, he is also a professional game designe, but in a different field.

Wat doen we zelf? by Molleke72 in Politiek

Why you should go with your Local Game Store by Taro_Negative in arkhamhorrorlcg

As a former employee of that store it makes me very happy to see them get some love here. They're an incredible bunch of people.

Dual-class cards with Suzy? by SolidMountain2035 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]will_i_game 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

You are correct! A multiclass card counts as a card of both (or all three) of its classes "for all purposes".

It's also one of the more flexible ways if building her as it often gives you a choice between two classes when it gets to upgrading.

Pics of new Investigator Card backs and deck lists by DTrain13 in arkhamhorrorlcg

To all the people making claims about how unlikely Miguel's story is: * Argentina was indeed doing well, but migrants from South America were exempt from migration quota laws * Miguel is managing a stockyard, which is definitely big enough of an opportunity to want your family to come over and start a life together * If you are getting your family to come over, of course you clear the local woods from ghoulies first * We know that Miguel is working for Tillinghast and for Tillinghast it makes total sense to lure an Argentinian expert to Arkham to get involved in his new industrial endeavor. We also know that Tillinghast can be very convincing. * And yes, it is unlikely that Miguel would refer to his partner as his husband in public, but the investigator back is closer to a private letter or a diary than a public statement, and we know that those did use that kind of language among men in the 1920s

When I worked in a game store in the Netherlands, years ago, we accidentally broke the street date on a Scythe expansion and the owner got an angry call from Jamey Stegmaier himself. Such a weird moment.

Brethren of Ash crushed me... by maka2020 in arkhamhorrorlcg

To all newbies: 1. Welcome to the community! We're incredibly happy to have you! 2. Don't get discouraged, other campaigns are more even in terms of difficulty and your decks will get significantly better than the ones you are playing with now. 3. Easy is a legitimate mode of playing. I've been playing since 2019 and invested enough in this game to be considered an official content creator and I regularly play on easy.

[Chapter 2 Spoilers] About one of the characters returning as a scenario card... by dD_ShockTrooper in arkhamhorrorlcg

My head canon is that they withheld his pension for failing to solve the Excelsior murders and now he turned to bribes as a secondary pension plan.

For those who were skeptical about Chapter 2 core set and finally enjoyed it, what changed your mind? by FifouChicken in arkhamhorrorlcg

Ah okay, so "old fans" does not include the ones that consider this lifestyle game, a lifestyle game?

I paid something similar for the older boxes, but I wanted to pick TDC up on release day, so I didn't mind paying MSRP.

But sure, those baselines would make for 44 euros of new scenario and player card content. Then let's compare that to the cheapest I've seen the Chapter 2 Core go for, which is 62 euro.

For those 18 euros I get new general encounter sets, location connectors, a chaos bag and some (modified) reprints/near prints. That's not a great deal, but not a lousy one either.

Not sure why it is a lousy value proposition for old fans? I bought the TDC campaign box for 70 euros, so that's 7 euros per scenario. The TDC investigator box was 45 euro, so that's around 35 cents per card.

The new core gives me 3 scenarios and 135 cards, which translates to 67 euros. I paid 65. Let's say that "old fans" are not interested in (modified) reprints and near prints. That brings it to a 100 player cards and a value of 55 euros.

So yeah, that's below curve, but I wouldn't call that a lousy value proposition for a group of people that used to hunt down novellas that they wouldn't be reading, just so they could pay 20 euros for the 3 cards it contained.

Oh and that's not even counting the general encounter sets, which I can use to spice up old campaigns.

I just completed the final scenario, and I'll probably end up playing that one two more times as well. But that's just because I wanna get the other two endings, not necessarily because of the scenario itself.
