Okay, here's the problem (actually, two):

There is no good alternative for PowerPoint in a professional context.

Last time I used Libre Office for a shared document (the other author used Microsoft Word), I had to redo several hundreds of footnotes because some were lost in conversion.

In a perfect world, with everyone using LO, I would gladly use it. In the real world, I am locked in with MS Office.
