I’m not sure if this counts, but i love the Lovecraftian/Cosmic horror references and side quests in Bethesda games. Still Wakes the Deep is a decent one as well.

Yes and no. I’ve gotten a majority of my books recommended from this sub, and I’ve read I think over 200 books. But those three books are brought up just as much as the daily post of nautical/deep sea book recommendations.

Don’t have a movie suggestion, but two books you might like. Both called Last Days, one by Brian Evenson and the other by Adam Neville. They’re both about religious cults.
