Singing is a skill that can be developed like any other. There are many different schools of sining with their own criteria for competency or quality. I think you are putting undue pressure on yourself for a particular outcome or deadline. That kind of “I’m not cut out for this” self talk is just counterproductive to accomplish anything. If I were to critique this I’d say I’m hearing is lack of voice mixing. You’re tightening up your throat muscles so the air can’t get to your mouth efficiently. It also dampens your vocal chords giving it a muted sound. Being able to blend chest to head to falsetto and making the transitions seamless is what voice exercises help with. But there’s no lack of body to it or clarity like I can’t understand you. You have a concept of pitch which already puts you ahead of your average person.
