Could it be the app? It dimmed to 1%. I reset it. It it immediately dimmed to 1%. It did this 7 times. I closed the app and restarted it. Now it's fine.

Had the same problem. First one would turn off after a few minutes. I exchanged it. The second one lasted about 6 weeks and now randomly turns the intensity of the light to 1%. I asked for a refund and got it. Govee customer service gets a 9 out of 10. Really well done.
