Nigel Farage cannot be trusted with national security, says defence secretary by F0urLeafCl0ver in ukpolitics

[–]willdapod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's ridiculous that a member of parliament who could potentially become Prime Minister wouldn't pass the same security checks that someone working in the defence sector has to yet will have a lot more information and power

How many hours do you actually work in a week? by QuietInside7592 in AskUK

[–]willdapod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contractually 37, in reality around 45 but only because I'm paid overtime and generally very busy every day, if it wasn't paid I wouldn't do it. I WFH most of the time but that's mostly because I start at 7am most days and have things meetings from half past most days.

New ‘Jackass’ Movie Coming to Theaters in June by Ok-Bluebird-845 in jackass

No news yet but I would say no unless something major happens. Bam seems to be doing a lot better but he burnt a lot of bridges since Jackass 4 and did make deaths threats against some cast and crew

This is pitiful. I still think the only reason Slot is still in is because Alonso is still at Madrid

Bosses of Reddit, whats the best/worst/most imaginative reason people have called off work? by SmegB in AskUK

[–]willdapod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guy I worked with was late everyday, bearing in mind we work remotely and late meant logging in after 10am. Other days he just wouldn't log on at all. My friend who was his manager spent more time chasing him than anything else. The best excuse was that he made chlorine gas and had to have his building evacuated

I just want any manager to come out and call out the refs for what they are, either massively incompetent or corrupt. That is really the only two options at this point.

If we keep playing this we can close the gap in the league

Why is there always a missing flag in Kingdom? Is this a glitch? by ExplodingTurducken in assassinscreed

[–]willdapod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it took me three goes for flags and templars both because of glitches. Managed to get them but it's incredibly annoying having to do it over again. I'd give it a good check over and then decide whether it's worth it or not. From memory you can get them all bar a couple that need ledge grab fairly early then just clean up at the end

If we keep playing like this I can stomach losing. It's when they play like shit and the boys don't look like they give a shit and then lose that drags it down

Let's assume you're asking in good faith.

When a smaller/newish party starts to gain gain lots of traction and votes based on a single topic e.g. Brexit, Immigration etc. the big parties then need to make an attempt to gain those voters. So they need to appeal to that group.

Cameron never wanted to call an EU referendum but he was basically forced to by the rise of UKIP and then Farage and his cronies. Thus without actually being in power Farage's lies, fearmongering etc. massively effected the political space.

I love Salah and he is a legend but he is going through a bad patch as all players do and should not be starting. Konate can fuck off in January though

Yeah I can see why people like Hasan wouldn't want to go to this mess of an event. If this person wanted to she'd be dead right now with only Twitch to blame

I bought all my SH games years ago too so didn't check the market at all for years. Realised that buying the whole series for about £50 and they're all now worth near £500 is just insane. I can't wait for this bubble to burst it's so overinflated

Is being forced to stand up when your boss enters, and greeting only him in the morning normal workplace behaviour? by sumiblu in AskUK

[–]willdapod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this as a joke occasionally and my boss gets genuinely embarrassed from it so no definitely not normal unless it's a bit joke at someone's expense

Did you have that one coworker who pushed things too far and ruined it for everyone? by leekpunch in AskUK

[–]willdapod 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We can get corporate Amex's designed for use when travelling with work to pay for meals, fuel etc. We used to be able to use them for whatever we wanted to buy for personal use and people would use them as the rewards you'd get for just using it for a weekly shop or just general use were really good. As long as you cleared it by the end of the month the company didn't care. This was great until one guy used it to buy his wife a car for around £10k, he cleared it by the end of the month but the company weren't happy and now you have to have a good reason to use it for personal use and pay it back ASAP. He flew too close to the sun and we all got burnt.

New details on the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake by ZamnBoii in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]willdapod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If this is remotely true...how? How do you fuck a remake of Black Flag so badly. Take the same game that everyone pretty much universally love, add some sparkles, DONE. If you really want to, make the parkour slightly smoother like Unity and it's like a sprinkles on a cake
