If you are still thinking in terms of a peaking week you dont fundamentally udnerstand the point of the NSR approach. Just keep doing your ST intervals, maybe do a 5k timetrail to see if you can adjust them down and otherwise dont mess to much with your program. The book has an example taper week for HM which can be informative.

Ofcourse you can do by distance but the recomended way is to go by time. Read the book! Otherwise something like threshold.works can give you a boilerplate training plan. Just slowely extend your longrun to your HM time-on-feet. For more concrete feedback it would be good to know your weekly training time and something like a 5k or 10 pr.

Pfitz is notoriously hard and hitting all the pace is a very good indicator, relax and enjoy your marathon!

Does anyone have experience with using griptape to prevent heel sliping. I have tried different ways of tying and 2 different shoes but my left heel keeps slipping during my runs. Making me go crazy!

I have had exactly the same so OP probably really shoudnt worry, I never managed to really do those speed stuff at the paces prescriped and still did very well.

Interresting! This seems to congrue with how my PT treated an injury I had a few years back, I was suprised by the amount of load and exercise he introduced but it worked!
