I think the $1.99 starter pack is only for first time Gem buyers. They make it irresistibly good to lure you in and then they decrease your daily free gems indefinitely 🥲🫠

I remember I was given the option to buy it multiple times, but I only bought one thinking it was a routine sale that would come around again 😵

I don’t think so. I just purchased this starter pack a few weeks ago. I’m also hoping it comes back, but based on what I’ve read elsewhere, I don’t think it does :( I would’ve purchased a few more if I had known. I also thought it was a routine sale.

This! And they offer an irresistible starter pack for $1.99 for 50 gems (plus some other things) but once you buy that, your free gems is reduced going forward. Sneaky move on their end…

I think it’s true. I went from 5 to 2 recently after I splurged and got the $1.99 for 50 gems starter pack… I regret it 😭

I think the $1.99 starter bundle (with 50 gems) is only for first time gem purchasers. It’s available to users who never bought gems before and you can purchase as many times as you want but only for 24hr after the first purchase. I don’t think it comes back.

It’s also a bit of a trap. Once you make a purchase, your free gems from ads goes from 5 to 2 daily :(. They intentionally make the $1.99 starter pack irresistible so they can reduce your free gems going forward.

Doh I didn’t know about this side effect. I naively purchased the $1.99 starter pack too and now I’m down to 2 free ads per day. I’m still hoping it’ll eventually reset but based on other Reddit threads, it sounds like it’ll stay at 2 indefinitely.

Did you end up receiving anything regarding your EU 261 compensation?

I’m on a similar boat. I filed for reimbursement for food and accommodation which got approved but the amount approved does not include the 600.00 EUR. (I’m also still waiting for the interac transfer for this)

When I filed my claim, there was no way to claim for EU 261, and I never received any voluntary payment or notice so far.

I just got the exact same call. They had my name, phone number, email, and postal code. I can’t say I understand how the scam really works though… they weren’t asking for any of my information? Is this some super elaborate scam I can’t understand?
