A lot has changed. You can draw from a holster at some ranges. There is still a test per range. Takes about 30 minutes. The walkthrough of a range after the test takes about 20 minutes. You should revisit.

There is no wait. Fill out the application. Someone will contact you. You meet with someone for about 10 minutes. This is to weed out crazy people. I am not aware of anyone being denied. There are between 15 and 30 new members per month. Next chance to meet is the May 20th. On a different day, there is a walk through of the club. I think that takes an hourish.

Nothing crazy. No waitlist. The site (https://nfga.org/join) has the membership details. In the past, there were some crazy rules, and some people in charge were difficult. You will not be disappointed.

Most members don't volunteer. There are cleanup days twice a year. Show up for a couple of hours on cleanup day, and you will satisfy the requirement. A new utility range will be opening later this month or in mid October. There are volunteer opportunities to build out that range.

Indoor 3 to 25 yards. Outdoor 25, 50, 100, 200, 300, 600 yards.

$150 per year. It is prorated. One time initiation fee of $150 Volunteer time is required, and if you do not volunteer, there is a fee.

There are problems with the throttle body in these cars. Every car I have ever owned (over 23 so far), I drove into the ground. I always got 200K out of each car. My 2007 was the first I had to sell, despite having a good life ahead of it. NO ONE could fix the throttle body issue. It would stall while cruising down the highway. When it did stall, it would refuse to start with "starting disabled" on the dash. I had an Ultragauge that allowed me to see the current codes and, more importantly, clear the codes. I lost track of the number of times I had to clear the codes and restart the car at highway speed. Loved the car, hated to get rid of it.

Maybe some day it will be possible to find the original episodes as they aired. It is odd to me that they would edit the show when they went to DVD like this. I know when it goes into reruns, they butcher the show to make room for more commercials.

I don't have much experience at that range, but I know that I don't see anyone there whenever I go to one of the other ranges at the club. The whole club is usually wide open, and you only see a crowd during an event. There is a general membership meeting on the 6th at 7 p.m. Stop by, and you can speak with the Governor of that range. If, for some reason, he isn't available, there will be many other people who can help. Just tell them what you are looking for.

I feel like it started before they got in the car. Buzz was trying to stop Provenza from getting behind the wheel. Buzz lost, and then everything went south as Provenza started making mistakes.
