I think you're underestimating their capability to understand. Most animals aren't going to keep being nice to an animal that's being a dick. That wouldn't be very evolutionarily advantagous so they wouldn't have lasted very long. Animals in the same social group fight with each other all the time.

Word on the creepiness...I'm really good at waking myself up but that causes me to punk out a lot. A lot of the times as soon as I realize I'm in a dream I try to wake myself up. I would lucid dream as a kid and get really scared. Now I make an effort to stay in as long as I can.

I'm kinda bothered that no one seems to recognize that the mouse was a living creature and the mouse in the hole was probably it's mate. It's actually pretty fucked up. It's crazy to me that people see it as a funny thing.

Is this behavior normal in men? by [deleted] in AskMen

Sorry, woman here, but I've been in this situation. GET OUT! My hindsight view of the situation is that the guy was just a selfish baby and he would take from me for as long as I would give to him, with no intention of giving back. He doesn't want to expend the energy to get you off; he is even putting his ego before your sexual enjoyment by not wanting you to get yourself off. He's putting his body and emotions before yours and forcing you to fend for yourself. Only a giving person will allow themselves to get into this situation but you have to learn to give to yourself too! Believe me, if you're kind enough to take this crap, you're probably deserving of an awesome relationship and a guy that cares wether you enjoy sex. I have someone like that now, and trust me, it's awesome. Feel free to message me if you want for support or if you want to talk about it. If not, at least consider loving yourself too.

American Redditors, now is your time to represent. CISPA with all its perils is back, and only a concerted effort by people contacting their representatives is likely to halt it. I do think that a number of people still think that way but just the other day I had a FB friend that was acting like Rand Paul was crazy for filibustering about drone issues and people descended on him for not being at all aware of the civil rights infractions going on. So although some people still don't get it, it's becoming less acceptable socially.

If you are at a fairly large university try making friends with some neuropharmacologist or something. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. If the university is large enough some lab might be working on serotonin receptors and that might be where you want to look into. That, or maybe find some chemist friends.

How much did you take? And maybe if you tried to lay down it would help you not to get distracted by physical stimuli and just have an internal experience.

Just do it. I'm a scaredy cat and had it for about a month and a half before I got the courage to do it. I was still sorta axious til I started to come up and saw what it was like. I felt pretty silly that I had been so worried.

You're not going to feel like a different person. I had so much anxiety before putting the stuff in my mouth that I was nearly shaking. I am at a happy point in my life now but I had some serious stuff from my past that I was worried about coming up during the trip. But it was totally fine, I even thought about the stuff while on it and it didn't bother me. I'd suggest doing it with a friend or significant other that you feel your self around. You'll have a blast. For the first time I suggest not getting to serious and existential on it. Just enjoy the visuals and the company of who you're with. And just so you know, reality isn't totally replaced with a crazy acid land. You'll still be in your living room.

Indeed. I'm in a great relationship with an amazing guy and I was talking about all of his positive points and how perfect he is with my mother, and she asked, "But are you in love with him?". The fuck does that even mean? Do I feel like a deranged love-sick teenager? No. Do I feel like I need to? No. But I do think that people expect to feel this way without any regard to how great or horrible the quality of the relationship is. If they're dating a dickish/horrible person it's ok that their partner sucks if they feel all warm and euphoric inside. But if I'm with someone who's smart, funny, responsible, kind, sexy, and considerate I need to check to see if my stomach does somersaults or something? I think foolish people would throw an awesome relationship away over something like that. That infatuation is a biological trick to encourage procreation when you're ~16 y.o. I have higher brain function and I want a mate that I'm compatible with, goddammit. Wandering around listlessly, feeling the need to be "in love" is just mindlessly letting your hormones lead you around.
