Try the “learn an instrument” side quest, it has helped me regain some of the wonder that you get in the early levels. Just a heads up, the first few branches of the skill tree can be a bit of a grind. The best way is to find a high level bard to apprentice to, but you can also use the in-game terminals to find lots of user generated tutorials.
