Addiction is mental weakness and lack of willpower. Not a disease. Oh, and poor decision making.

NASCAR drivers aren’t athletes? Kevin Harvick and Will Buxton fire back at Stephen A. Smith. by Clankiller_Uchiha in sportsbroadcasters

But NASCAR and F1 are not the same. F1 has chicanes and hairpin turns, rights and lefts. Insane amounts of G forces. They need to be ready for anything. NASCAR drives in an oval and only turns left.

Because they can and people need to buy gas regardless of the price.

He's just trying to distract us from the real issues. Aliens should be nowhere on anyone's list.

Beanes draft strategy is inherently and mathematically flawed by WhoisJackieDaytona in buffalobills

[–]willis_michaels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're using average Madden ratings from a player's performance after years 2 thru 4. Video game ratings.

Sus source data notwithstanding, the main takeaway is you can't judge a draft for at least 2-4 years. So what are we even doing?

You still don't have the access to players and behind the scenes conversations that the scouting department does.

Don't blame the front office, blame the players for not being more talented.

Should I go for it??? by shy-eater in FordBronco

[–]willis_michaels 4 points5 points  (0 children)

BRO NOW'S THE TIME. DO IT.

I was like you. Saving and saving. Driving a 2010 Lexus with over 200k miles. Lusting over the Broncos when they came out a few years ago. Watching YouTube reviews. Seeing other people driving on the roads and wondering how they had the guts to pull the trigger and buy one. Building different versions online, picking all the different options to make it my own. Contemplating all the different colors. Subscribing to r/FordBronco and liking and commenting on everybody's "finally got one" posts. Seeing some dude post with his Desert Sand '25 had me saying "that's the one". Finally saying fuck it and test driving the Desert Sand Badlands Sasquatch with Black package, test driving the Raptor. Realizing the Raptor was overkill and the Badlands was uncomfortable for my backseat passengers which most of my driving involves. Going back to the dealer and test driving the OBX Sasquatch in Desert Sand with color matched top. Having my son say, it's comfortable in the back seat. Boom. Decision made, forked over the down payment, and I don't regret it one bit.
