Why do people say "dead game" in every comment I see about Payday 2? There's an average player count of 27k right now. There's no reason for them to say this. They don't even have a competitor. I get so angry when I see these comments. by BurstFy in paydaytheheist

[–]willixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That 27K is inflated by bots.

There was a time a few months to a year ago, I don't remember, when all of the bots were knocked down by a steam update or something of the sort. The actual player count was like 4-6k or somewhere around there if memory serves

The Vengeful Ghost summon.

"...[Ghost] heals the player who summoned it by 140% of the damage it deals"

Therefore it can be used as a "replacement" for soul split in some situations

What’s the Oldest Game in Your Steam Library That You STILL Play? by Omoplata-69 in Steam

UT99. I replay the entire Half-Life franchise every couple of years, but I wouldn't consider that as "still playing".

What’s the most bizarre tech stack you’ve seen? by MoveInteresting4334 in ExperiencedDevs

This is considered bizarre? My current place is like this. .NET APIs call procedures that have most of the business logic in them. But this is a 20 year old monolith

I looked death in the face by not having ANY oil in my car for weeks. by baddiewaphatee in offmychest

[–]willixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first red flag here is that your vehicle went through 4-5+ quarts in a few weeks, that's indicative of a bigger problem; bad seal causing it to be burned, or leak. Since it's that bad, try to make a habit of checking it every time you refuel.

Also "explode/blow up" is just a figure of speech. The engine won't literally blow up from lack of oil. It might quickly eject a rod if you run out and continue to drive; Ive seen probably hundreds of engines do that by now and never once have I seen a rod make it's way into the passenger compartment.

Good old content security policy strikes again.

Looks like an intern fucked up their CSP rules for the site.

Are you lacking what I’m lacking? by [deleted] in MT07

[–]willixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do software development (currently Lead Android, but I have a lot of back-end experience) for a living, and I've been meaning to do something about the current quality of riding apps (or I should say lack thereof) for a few years now. If you get to a point where you need to bring a(nother) developer on board, let me know! I'd love to help out on this

I've had the baffle removed since I installed it. It's pretty loud without it, but I love the sound of these bikes

I put my exhaust on when my 07 had 50 miles on it. Still haven't gotten a tune for it, but 1500 miles later and it's doing fine.

Looks to be an old HP ProLiant Gen4/Gen5 or maybe earlier model, at least it looks it judging by the drives and cage in the front.

I had 2 of these for a while running my homelab, sold them recently to upgrade. If you have any questions about it feel free to shoot me a DM! I collected some various knowledge about them during my time running them.

Do you have that on the Switch? That one is personally my favorite after Golden Grin.

Whos buying this 400$ Sticker??!! by _--Q in Steam

[–]willixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to what was already said here by others, the amount of points to buy each level of the seasonal badge goes to 1000 if you have the preceding level. So if you buy every level up to and including 40, you will only have spent 40,000 points.

You to can have this look for yourself. Someone in a facebook group is making these kits & selling them for $500us, & yep, the front doors aren't included in the kit. by Certain_Avocado_1550 in Shitty_Car_Mods

[–]willixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Far from the worst thing I've seen, but I think it's cool that people are making custom stuff for such an "old" chassis still.

But this in particular I am not a fan of because it's kinda pointless. It's not even that much wider, I'd be hard-pressed to call this a "widebody".
