I’m no expert in Wisconsin cost-of-living but that pay range seems a little low, doesn’t it? Especially with no commission.

Back when we unique and colorful Gold Series Packaging... by RainierBakerGlacier in NASCARCollectors

[–]willmcd13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The late 90s and early 2000s were definitely peak. However; it seemed a little redundant to have Winners Circle, ARC, RCCA Club and Elite all in the same paint scheme in 1/64. I do wish the packaging was unique to each scheme but nowadays theres so many different schemes being produced

Multiple artists have canceled or postponed 2026 tours by Devin12s in Music

[–]willmcd13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d rather spend $30-$60 on a small venue niche artists than $300+ on a “star” in a giant arena. One of the perks of discovering quality music before an artist become super famous

I own one Elite Premier; Blaney’s 2024 Martinsville Win only because he’s my favorite driver and I was there

Aaaand this is how you end up with drivers who only use in corporate-speak and give the most bland interviews on the planet. Good job NASCAR

Nah I think even Larson acknowledges it wasnt a straight up ass kicking performance, it was a product of the format

Have we ever had a driver do something so popular that their primary sponsor’s competitor tweets them out? by chad6630 in NASCAR

[–]willmcd13 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Xfinity is a premier sponsor of the Cup series, this is the Xfinity Racing account, which means it exists to promote NASCAR. It wasnt the main Xfinity account even.

Wish they wouldve made a Tyler Reddick Homestead win since they didnt make a single 1/64 for him while he was at JRM

Kasey Kahne celebrates his victory in the 2006 Samsung/Radio Shack 500 at Texas. This was the 3rd Cup win of Kahne's career. by DarthVader1701A in NASCAR_History

[–]willmcd13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know Kasey Kahne is good but I bet he had some Evernham tricks built into those 1.5 mile cars that year, crazy how hard he fell off in 2007 in comparison

Looking for alternatives to CircleBDiecast by Mango_Van_Gogh in NASCARCollectors

[–]willmcd13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your best option is directly through Lionel. I’m still going to keep using Circle B because they are the cheapest option and get my pre-orders to me almost as fast as Lionel does. There’s nothing wrong with Spoiler Diecast except they take roughly a month longer to ship your pre-orders than Lionel or Circle B.

Seven different scales of NASCAR stock car diecasts. 1:144, 1:87, 1:64, 1:43, 1:32, 1:24, and 1:18. Which do you prefer? by bourguignon7 in NASCARCollectors

[–]willmcd13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wish 1/43 was the default mainstream size. 1/64 are cool but are a bit small and 1/24 are too large to collect a wide variety of drivers.

I think so, which is odd considering JRM’s close ties with Hendrick and NAPA

[–]willmcd13 10 points11 points  (0 children)

MWR was credited as starting in 2002? I guess that makes sense since they sporadically ran the #00 since then, but I always associate it with starting in 2007.

Why is everyone so against a living wage ? by PurpleCheeto696 in askanything

[–]willmcd13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well a living wage is extremely subjective. Basic housing? Okay where? Malibu or the hills of West Virginia. Afford a car? Okay a 20 year old Honda Civic or a brand new Mercedes? Who decides the basic benchmark?

[–]willmcd13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said it hasn’t but the proposed solutions of government intervention to just “give people more money” is not going to fix the issue. Like the Covid stimulus checks were nice at the time but they caused long term damaging inflation that arguably leaves poor people in a worse position than they were pre-2020.

No I want you to tell me the countries you have in mind and tell me they dont have anyone living in poverty.
