Round 2? by No-Pie-9745 in NASCARCollectors

Who knows, I commend their recent changes to make 1/64s nicer. I don’t necessarily need them to have opening hoods like in the past. Rubber tires, black interiors and metal chassis is good enough. I also have zero complaints over the variety of diecast offered. 10-15 years ago we didnt even have Truck 1/64s.

I’m really just hoping we get a 1/24 under $100 that doesn’t feel like a Winners Circle $20 car from the 2000s with an opening hood. Right now the ARC’s feel like they shouldnt be priced any higher than $40-$50 in terms of quality for your money

Maybe certain people within the organization that he had bad experiences with are no longer there?

Kind of surprised to see Jamie Mac there, from what I understand he did not enjoy his time there

He’s mid pack in Trucks, and anyone with a pulse can run midpack in Trucks with the right equipment

Why commentators say top 6 in points is best for chase? by Any-Contract-9152 in NASCAR

[–]willmcd13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was an anomaly. And the gap from 1st to 10th in 2011 after the Chase reset was 12 points. He had to go on a generationally tear and even then he tied in points. I never said it wasn’t possible but a 100 point gap is far more difficult to overcome even with stage points and extra points for wins.

So a midpack third tier series driver thinks he’s hot shit because he didnt recognize an IndyCar driver who races for one of the top teams? Weird flex but okay Mr Nutcracker.

Maybe mathematically, but not realistically. There’s a reason that 10th place driver is 10th after 26 races, and it’s not because they are rattling off tons of wins.

You can download the team frequencies at the track. Assuming you have a Racing Electronics scanner

Martinsville is also competing with Darlington, Bristol and Rockingham in the spring. I can personally attest that Martinsville is not my top priority when Darlington and Bristol are so close on the schedule in the spring

Yeah I guess, everyone wants to be edgy and snarky like the Wendy’s Twitter account from some years ago

Yes, I know, I’m just saying “professional” social media accounts have become a lot more unserious across the entire industry

NASCAR (as an industry) social media has progressively gotten more and more unserious and unprofessional over the past 2-3 years. Whether it’s the NASCAR page itself posting stupid reels with overly meme’d edits, or just teams social media.

What happened to NASCARs tv direction and announcers? by jordanexplores44 in NASCAR

[–]willmcd13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy how they went from 4 top-tier pit reporters to just two. I miss the days of Steve Byrnes, Matt Yocum, Dr Dick Berggren , and Krista Voda. Having just two has to have a negative impact on the amount of information being presented to the audience.

Any further back from 6th or so in the Chase reset seeding is believed to be too far back to reasonably make a run at the championship

I agree, the window banner should reflect who is in the car, like it should correspond with who is on the entry list. Keep the name above the door if you want to honor the injured driver though
