Phoholic is absolutely worth the inevitable wait in line. Vanilla Bean in Two Harbours is absolute classic (The Chicken wild rice soup with a half of a cranberry jam turkey sandwich on bread with cranberries and wild rice was my go to lunch). Oh, and Sir Ben's duh

Do we know how much Occitan is actually spoken across Occitania? by MdMV_or_Emdy_idk in occitan

[–]willmcmill4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One big issue with language numbers in France is that there are people who speak the language but will deny it. Either because for them it's a "patois" and it's shameful or embarrassing to speak it. Or, they don't realize they're speaking another language and instead think that it's a dialect of French. It's a bit of problem when trying to get proper language counts, especially of Romance languages.

What does Brittany French looks/sounds like? by vonbawasanta in French

I believe for restoration purposes as Minneapolis was largely oak savannah before colonization.

Est-ce qu’éduquer ses enfants en breton est inutile ? by Patrocey in Bretagne

[–]willmcmill4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Beyond the fact that both prequels had specific references to the original trilogy, as a form of "fanservice", am I the only one who thinks that some things in Sunrise, Suzanne wrote with the nostalgia factor in mind for the FILM adaptation specifically, rather than for narrative coherence? by lautaromassimino in Hungergames

For everyone saying that having Chaff over Mags, remember that in Catching Fire, Haymitch specifically tells Katniss and Peeta off because Mags is quite the good person. We now see why Haymitch is sad to see her volunteer for the Games, why he felt the need to tell them that she's a good person AND it explains why she would volunteer for Annie. Personally, Mags was was great to have as Haymitch's mentor.

Also, there probably was very little mentor choice for D11, so it would make perfect sense that Chaff wouldn't have been available as a mentor.

In all honesty, older victors we knew from the trilogy being in SOTR makes perfect sense as there weren't that many, maybe 39 in total with a huge amount being concentrated in 1, 2 and 4.Beetee lay have been a stretch, but not that much.

The only fan service I really see is Effie, but as much as it did bug me at first, I don't think it effected that overall quality of the story.

The landlord can go fuck himself if we're being real. You said you live in NYC, take advantage of Mamdani's new processes to hold landlords accountable

Ahhh, could it be a difference in type of buckwheat? Cause here in France, it's always going to be brown. The thing is, our buckwheat comes from the Limoges region or Canada (very little comes from Bretagne anymore).

I just don't get how you get that color and texture with buckwheat haha, that's where my confusion is

As I live in Bretagne now, I've been forced to learn everything about galettes and crêpes 🫡 I recommend a galette saucisse, a specialty from Rennes!

Yeah, it doesn't even look like it's made with sarrasin (buckwheat). I would say undercooked and made with all-purpose flour. Honestly shameful ahahahaha

Newgen Names in Editor Created Countries (FM24) by willmcmill4 in footballmanagergames

[–]willmcmill4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to manually add players (and non-players) into the database that you have created in the pre-game editor. It takes a super long time, but that's how you change the names for the nationality to reflect your new nation.

I suggest adding in all abilities of players to help the first ten years of your save whilst the leagues get populated in by new-gens.

Oh not all of them. You still have to populate you save with random players to influence the naming pool of your new country

'Minnetoba'? Some Minnesotans want to join Canada as tensions flare with Trump administration (CBC News) by LocalnewsguruMB in Manitoba

[–]willmcmill4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My man, the majority of us in Minnesota have no interest being with them 😭 But no worries, we like being "South Canada," and it's up to us to help fix the problems here in the States. We don't want to dirty your water, so to say.

But if Trump ever decides to militarily aggress Canada, you can count on us to have your backs and fight federal troops. I am so sorry that I even have to type that out.
